The Fugitive (David Jansen et al) epic series about relentless use of force against an individual.

Adventures in Paradise aired in the late '50's tp early '60's Yarn about recreation boat for hire.

All time favorite night-time MC show was "Morgus the Magnificent" whiched aired on WDSU-TV in New Orleans, LA, USA back in the mid-'50's. It always featured horror shows and b& w classics about terror. God, was he funny! Every experiment ended in disaster.

Maybe your grandparents recall these.....LOL.
