Oh god.. what was his name... from chrono cross... ummm he was the one who had a magic sword technique... and ummm... ah god.... I can't remember his name, all I know is that after at least 100 attempts, literally, I managed to beat him once.

I'm an old school rpg player... have you ever played tales of phantasia? There was an enemy there that really although it was not a boss it took me hours before I decided to my self not to kill that bastard. It was called an Urchin

From my experience, Omega Weapon from FFVIII is pretty hard since the only guaranteed way to beat him without becoming frustrated is to use Holy Wars/Heroes and just cast Aura on Zell and Squall hoping for Squall's Lionheart while pounding away with Zell.
From what I've heard, Penance from FFX International is the beast of all FF beasts.

Yeah Sephiroth was way harder in KH1, in KH2 the reaction button came in handy cause if he had that move in the first KH, I'd probably destroy the game.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide You mean when you become Lynx? That dude with the sword with White Element?
Daaamn, that dude was freaking hard for me as well (to this day I have no idea why, but he could take my characters down in 2 blows if he got lucky).
Dario was also freaking messed up (if I'm thinking about the right person - you encounter him on that small island his elemental color is Black?

Now that you guys mention it, the fight against Dario is a bit tough. Mostly because two of yours characters, Riddel and Serge are both white innate (not sure if you have to use Riddel, but it does make the battle more difficult.),which means anytime he does a tech it's usually instant death. = /

So many hard ones from the games I played, I'll just say one I'm on right now, its a bat thing in Digital Devil Saga 2 and it turns all your character's into bats and decease's your defense to almost nothing, and then BAM 800 damage and your dead, it's annoying me, I think I will have to switch out character's when he change's me into bats, haven't tried that much though, I'm playing earthbound right now to,  I <3 RPG's |

Yes MIGUEL!!!! He is the one, and if he wasn't hard to beat then you must have been lucky. Because for me he used is "Magic Holy Sword" skill, a skill that does a minimum of 300 damage every other turn. He was the only boss I had trouble with on New Game+

Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts (optional boss)? I tried fighting him at too low a level (60) and got beaten in two blows.
