I'd prefer Hinate, Sai and Asuma and Rock Lee. In that order.
especially if you look at Hinata's ballet style which she perfected in the naruto series, and which i regrettably haven't seen back in the shippuden series.
Sai because of knowing the right respons to an attack. (look at how he stopped Sasuke from beheading naruto at the orochimaru hideout)
and Asuma because of his double use of his chakrablades.
I like Rock Lee for his hands on style which is much more accurate than naruto's rough housing style. Plus i admire the boy for his determination and persistence and loyalty. Even though he's a bit of a goof in his earnestness.

It's got to be Shikamaru.
He fights with raw intelligence and Shadow ability, something that you never really see in the series.
And he actually shows himself to be one of the strongest in Konoha later on.

I'd have to say Sasuke.
-He's smart, not Shikamaru smart, but smart.
-He's fast, Can't think of a good comparison for his speed at the moment :d.
-He adjusted Chidori into several other jutsu (Chidori Senbon, Chidori Steam, etc.)
-He's mastered two elements (Fire, Lightning)
And to top it all off, he uses a sword, which can cut through nearly anything if he channels lightning chakra into it.
