@topic: in not a fan of movies anymore since i became a drama fan, but i think i will be bothering myself to go and watch this one, simply because it will make me feel proud having such kind of quality animated movies, its the first right?

i think so... they are not the usual so-so actors so i think they can pull the roles (or voices)

Are u xur. FYI gal, some japanese anime cartoonists came from the Philippines... too bad they were not recognized.

yup! ur right!

Why some people are being too negative about this? Can't we be more positive?and support it?
Because just like what's happening into some Filipino telenovelas in foreign countries, some people may like it too...

Besides! mylove143'sgrammar is wrong!yuck! "THERE" should be "THEY'RE"!
how dare you made such mistake!?

It's hany_lyn pala, sorry!

everyone can make a simple mistake.. even you.. so don't be harsh.. so what if she mistake on a simple grammar..? it won't ruin the thread anyways.. so stop being obnoxious...

it is a start or a first for us, so that should be enough. Even if it sucks, it is still something to look forward to, not the animation itself but the possibility that, things might get better the next time..

Did you hear about the first ever Filipino animated movie "Ang Laban ni Urduja" made by Philippines!? I saw it in Rated K and the news. I was really shocked to see that it was... okay... You know, the movements were okay, and the drawings. It's like other animated films. It took them.. 2 and a half years..!?

I would have liked it if it weren't for the 'baduy' (corny) tagalog used.. Sorry, it's just that when some Filipino movies use deep Tagalog, I think it's corny.. But it was still okay. Anyway, I'm not sure if the concept is that original.. It's kinda Pocahontas-ish.. I don't know.. i'm not sure yet and i can't judge cause I haven't seen the movie itself yet.

Anyway I just wanted to know what you guys think..

Anyway, I'm kinda happy because maybe Philippines can *at least* prove to other countries that they can do this, too..

Some of the featured cast/voice actors are Regine Velasquez (Urduja), Cesar Montano, Allan K, Eddie Garcia, Johnny Delgado, Michael V, Ruby Rodriguez and many more... :P

I'd love to post a link to a video and synopsis, but vids aren't up in the Internet yet.. Too bad.. Don't worry! Next time, I get a something, I'll show ya!

Actually it's not "Pocahontas-ish", because Pocahontas did not save her tribe by herself, unlike Prinsesa Urduja, she lead her men and saved her tribe!

Anyway, thank goodness you are one of the "supporters". Are you going to watch it?

Yes, of course! I'm looking forward to the very first animated movie of Philippines!! You?

Anyway, it's just "Pocahontas-ish" because of the tribe thing. the concept seems quite different as well..
