Code Geass-Lelouch of the Rebellion

Plot Summary: The Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11's. A Britannian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he'd destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11's who've stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Britannian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power of Geass, which makes anyone obey any order. While Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Britannia's brand new prototype Knightmare, Lancelot, Lelouch becomes the masked Zero to lead the rebellion to destroy Britannia once and for all.

Opinion:For one thing,CLAMP was signed up for the character design of this anime,so I guess you'd all probably see resemblance of the characters with some of CLAMP's other works(eg Lelouch and Kamui). Some may be put off by all the mecha and fighting in this show, but after a few episodes, the unique plot and characters will really start to draw you in.

Code Geass is a derivative of English literature, translated, and mixed in with Japanese culture though.Notice that Britannia sounds similar to Britain? That Knight of Rounds are similar to Knights of the Round Table.Lancelot,Tristan, etc etc being a part of English literature. It's quite a refreshing touch.

But,all in all,I wouldn't want to give out any spoilers for it.So those who haven't watch this show yet, you're seriously missing out something great =]

Vampire Knight

Plot Summary: Yuki's earliest memory is of a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran. Ten years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a "prefect" (also known as a guardian) for the school with two purposes: to protect the Day class students (humans) from the Night class students (vampires) and to protect the true identity of the Night class students from being discovered by the Day class students. Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pureblood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Through a cruel twist of fate, Zero becomes a vampire himself, having been bitten by a pureblood vampire four years before, Shizuka Hiou. Kaname, Yuki's savior, leads the group of Night class, with the help of Takuma Ichijo (the vice president). [credits to Wikipedia!]

Opinion: This anime/manga is slightly similar to a novel Twilight, with Yuki(Bella), Kaname(Edward), Zero(Jacob), and the rest of the vampires(the Cullens). All the plot twists cause you to go <--- (for the guy characters, ladies ) which is similar to CLAMP's plots. One episode/chapter can make you wanna watch another episode after the other/ flip the pages again and again~! I dare you to watch/read it!!!

Ratings: 98.9%
