Never been to an anime convention/expo and even if I did go there's just no way that I'd take anything there without paying for it. The worst thing I might try is to haggle and lower the price a bit.

like as in stealing stuff made by other people, or as in stealing ideas from plays and cosplays?
....umm.....for the first one, the anime expos I go to have really heavy security so it's kinda impossible to steal...

That's terrible. :< I would never even consider doing something like that.
Especially since I know a lot of people who I look up to and/or who are my friend that have tables in Artist Alley..
edit;; I've only been to Fanime, not AX, but most of the artist are still the same and if anything, I know more artist that are going to AX.
