CY.. Chuang Yi manga. Much like Shojo Beat. A manga publisher and distributor. You could say it's a brand.

They also translate Vampire Knight and OHSHC that's why I asked you if they're CY. CY manga are cheaper you know.

ohhh. I see, maybe. idk. XD I like Shoujo Beat & Shoujo Magic. loool. XD

Okaa~~~yy..

I think since mangas have a standard price (usually printed at the back cover), the price won't be very much different from each other. But second handed mangas could be a lot cheaper, and for non-expensive first hand mangas, amazon would be a good source.

how about you?? at what brach of NB do you buy your manga???

Deathnote? At National Bookstore? I don't think so.. I have been to three different branches and the ones I found were Negima, Vampire Princess Miyu, Tsubasa, The Wallflower, Ghost Hunt, xxxHOLiC, some old school manga, Suzuka, Mushishi, Othello, and some other titles I can't remember..

Haven't you tried looking for Deathnote at Powerbooks or Fully Booked? They've got manga there.

~SaMMie-CHaN~

nope.. not yet.. where are the branches?? besides.. i can't buy them anywhere... my dad would only say that i'm wasting money...

he's too lame.. he doesn't favor me with anime...:C

Check my previous post, I put it there.

If you need to know the location of other branches check out their respective websites.

I do most of my manga buying online. ebay is great for buying partial and full series. half.com good for individual books, but try and get several from same seller at one time to get the shipping discount. Also, www.rightstuf.com for all things anime & manga related, $12 membership (not required to buy but gets you 10% off year round), orders $49 and up can get free shipping plus they have sales all the time (i.e dark horse books one week, VIZ one week, etc.) they also have a weekly sale list (books & ANime).

Or, you know, you could actually support the mangaka.

I recommend deepdiscount.com.
