This counts as anime doesn't it..? so does it matter if it's not in the polls section?
This is difficult.. I liked both..
I didn't like the Strawberry Panic ending though.. But I preferred their animation and character designs..
I like the storyline for Maria Miteru but it's somewhat confusing..
I choose Strawberry Panic.. If it had a better ending, I would be more sure of myself..

Personally, I really like Marimite especially Marimite OVA.
Even though it's doesn't has kissing scene (I'm really disappointed) like Strawberry Panic but, I still think that Marimite is much better than Strawberry Panic.

Firstly (and perhaps most importantly) Marimite has only SUBTEXT. Strawberry Panic is explicit in its yuri (not to the extent of sex scenes though :()

I personally think the characters in Marimite are far more likeable and realistic. The only character from Stopani that I felt any empathy for was Yaya. As for Marimite, noone from Stopani can come close to the awesomeness of Sei or Yoshino. Shimako was also an interesting character.

That said, the plot of Marimite was both too slow and too realistic in that nothing particularly dramatic happened. Whilst the plot of Stopani was a highly embellished tale, it was far more acessable and had me more hooked.

I also had a slight dislike to the art style of Marimite. A bit too Shoujo for my liking.
