We had a couple of semi-pros and an Irish international, so weren't too bad. I find NBA really annoying. They seem to have completely abolished the travelling rule, as it seems to be violated several times in every posession. Also, what is the hype about a slam dunk for? It is basketball's equivalent of a golfer knocking in a putt from an inch. If they can't do that, they shouldn't be in the professional ranks.

Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 10/28/07 I was raised on basketball...........my dad was a former minor pro league baller in the Philippines, as well an alumni of Adamson University in Manila.......one of the best college basketball programs in the Philippines. So I've been basically raised to love it, I suck it at tho, I can't lie. I'm at least 6 feet, but I play more like a power forward/center with sucky handles. I only played basketball competitively once, and that was in the 8th grade. I just play for leisure, the occasional pick-up games on the playground with my boys. FYI, NY Knick fan 4 life...................BALLIN!!!!!!!!!

	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 10/28/07 i have tryouts tomorrow, wish me luck! but yea, basketball's fun, that's why i'm trying out. i wouldn't say i'm obsessed though. i'm mostly trying out so that i can have something good to put on my college application.
