Solutions?? That refers to a missing extension. I'm not sure if this will work, but if you have a friend that owns a Mac as well, try copying their TextEdit program on a USB external drive, transfer it to your computer, and see if that works. You might also want to see if you have any other programs (most especially the core system programs) that might not be working, as well. Is your MacBook relatively new? Have you recently installed anything that might have caused TextEdit to stop working? I have a cousin that has the MacBook Air. Maybe that would help. I got my MacBook about two months ago. I think only TextEdit is the only thing thats affected. I also installed a printer program for my printer. I printed some things by using TextEdit but it worked fine. I got this problem yesterday. I guess i'll try to transfer it. |

This just occurred to me... that question mark can also indicate a missing or moved parameter. Have you tried opening TextEdit from the Applications folder? Try opening your Applications folder and run the program from there. If it works, then that means your dock has been modified, or a file extension has been moved. Remove the TextEdit icon from the dock and replace restore it by clicking and dragging the TextEdit icon from the Application folder to the Dock. |

I can't find it anywhere in my Folders. |

Sorry about that. edsamac told me to either PM some one or go to Chat with the Mods! forum to ask my non CR related question.I wasn't sure who to PM to so I decided to post here. |

edsamac wrote: Well, there you go. I don't know how your TextEdit app disappeared, but that's the reason why your dock is registering a question mark when you try to load the program. Get the program from your cousin's computer. I might as well. Thanks for the help~ |

blablabla9876 wrote: Mods what is the best thing you can cook in the kitchen???????? I can cook good fried rice.... Well, I don't cook it, but I can make sushi. At least the basic kinds, like kani, tamago, and your typical sashimi. Ironically, I'm allergic to sashimi (eaten), so that sucks big time. If that's not allowed, then I can cook pasta. I don't know the name of the dish, but it's pasta with a mushroom cream sauce, mixed with chopped basil leaves and sun dried tomatoes. Healthy vegetarian bites for everyone. |

You wouldn't happen to play the role of the friend who just eats the cakes and cookies in the end, would you? |

I love eating but I've never felt comfortable in the kitchen and it doesn't help that I'm slightly scared of knives. When I do help my mum just gets frustrated cos I'm so hesitant and low. However, I do like to bake cakes and cookies with my friends..That's fun ^^ I hate baking sweets with a passion....I hate having to measure exact amounts for the ingredients. |
