yes I did read the links but I am still skeptical. And as for your juvenile attempt at insulting me using wordplay, that simply amuses me. Although I will give you some credit. You are somewhat more creative than the people at my school.

Skeptical?

How is CR not legal? To put it simply although there are ads, the anime is still free. The anime is still that which is not yet licensed in this country.

This doesn't look skeptical to me.
It's as if you posted them as facts.

Hmmmm..
Trying to save your ass by lying? Okay, eclaire.

Tbf on lumier, she's right about a lot of the anime not being licensed in England. But those ones, you just can't watch, and there's nothing illegal about it.

Not sure about Paypal. But I don't trust CR since it asks for credit card details. Even though there are a lot of precaustions now put in place I just don't want to risk it.

paypal also wants your credit card or bank info. seriously.. where do you figure that they get the money from?
if that's SO impossibly terrible... you can just buy a pre-paid credit card. works exactly like a credit card but has a limited balance.

you weren't around to know about it... but CR actually used to be one of those illegal anime sharing sites.
there was a whole lot of noise about it when they decided to turn it around and go legit.
they dumped -all- of the series they had no rights to -- which at the time was actually -everything-.
now they actually DO get the legal rights to show anime and dramas the way that they do.

and there's more than one type of "licensing" available for a product.
for instance, a local college anime club, might get a 1-shot license to show a certain movie on a given date for their monthly anime meeting.
or a website might get a streaming license to be able to show a series to its users.
neither of these are the same as licensing a series for DVD distribution. and conversely, a DVD sales license doesn't give them the rights to publicly show an anime or stream it online.
... and i'm sure that there are plenty more possible licensing options too.

i'd tell you to do some research on all of this, but you wouldn't believe anything you read online anyways, since it would disagree with what you've already decided you like best.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh gods... eclair-lumiere, you sure know how to be funny - in the wrong way.

You are still sceptical of Cruncyroll's legitimacy? Rofl, I guess the only way to convince you would be to snailmail you a gold pressed plate with the signatures of the leaders of Asian Media. But knowing eclair-lumiere, she wouldn't trust even that and probably get rid off the plate, because having it would be too risky.

Yay I finished my food. I wish the entertainment didn't slow down.

Jeeze, someone must have not used a credit card or anything of the sort in their life before - which is understandable.

As I said I am unsure of Paypal. In other words I don't know anything about it or how it works. Now you have informed me it works the same way then I won't trust that either. As for a pre-paid credit card, that does sound like a good idea but then even if it was a small amount, I would be upset if someone was able to steal money from it.
I don't know what crunchyroll used to be like because it has always been like this since I joined so i could watch Kiddy Girl-And. I can't be bothered to research it since I have various other things I need to do. But if the anime on here is only here temporarily I can understand why it would be somewhat legit. But even so, I can't really understand what the big anime companies would get out of making there anime available for free legally. Unless it is only available for free in countries where it is not out yet. That could be the case since Naruto is not available for me on here but Shugo Chara is. Naruto you can buy on DVD here. Shugo Chara you can not.

"i don't know how it works, and i'm not going to learn, either."
"i don't know what the anime companies get..."

reasons like these are why you're an idiot.

CR has to BUY the rights to show the anime. that's what the companies get.
that's why people pay for membership to this site.

So CR gives them money? Ok got it now. I was under the impression they were showing anime "legally" without paying for it. I see how it works now.
And just because I am not the most computer literate person does not mean I am an idiot.

The process used in CR obtaining anime has been explained and I now see how it can be considered legal. However, posting streams of "HAHHAHAHA" and random pictures are not going to help at all.
