Or, were you members who were previously very helpful on the forums and were noticed? I wannabe too Kinda wish we had a merge posts feature, but since we don't I deleted your quadruple-posts. |

I became a Forum Moderator by applying in a thread. I was 16 at the time, so it's been a good 4 years now. There was a large number of people, so I was surprised that I was chosen. To be perfectly honest before I was moderator I was a troll. Just starting shit for no reason. Not very helpful, I know, yet at the time the entire community was pretty chaotic. Although I miss the disorder, I like being a mod. It gives me the power to actually help change and influence the community. Plus banning. That's always fun. |

That would be pretty sweet if you could get paid for frequenting and moderating CR, seeing that you're a college student and any amount of extra income is suh-weet. I have a hard time imagining you as a troll, but you do seem to have strong opinions and you don't tip-toe around them. People who start fires tend to make forums more lively in a way, and promote activity so in that way I can see why that wouldn't get in the way of you becoming a mod. So when there is an opening for a forum moderator position, you guys just open up an application thread and CR members can post their responses and get evaluated? Sounds pretty sweet. I'm legitimately interested in moderating CR - I enjoy the forums, like most of the people here well enough, plus I have time throughout the day to check in and post. |

I stalked the moderators until they made me mod. lol, but in all seriousness, I was originally a chat moderator and was recommended by fellow moderators before me (like thefinalword <3) since there were like only 3 chat moderators at the time and I got in after applying since I did not made the cut for first chat moderator applications. I basically worked my butt off and we all worked hard to become what we are now as site moderators. I get paid in cookies. |

But yeah, I was pretty lively. Still am actually. When the time comes for moderator positions, they usually announce them in the forums. All we had to do was answer the questions and play the waiting game. I'm sure whenever they decided to choose, you'd make a good candidate. |

It's that time of the year again! I think it will be announced soon.
We have a few good ones in mind, but we are also looking for people who can deal with haters/trolls. |

My issue is that when someone post on my forums it doesnt go on the veiwable general post of the home page but it is sometimes first if you click on general disscutions? and there are forums much much older than mines that dont have this issue, so it makes me think that I am being picked to pretty much not have my forums in public view...this needs to be fixed plzz.

I'm not really sure what your problem is, or if you are mistaking forums with threads or what - but if you have any problems with the site I would highly suggest posting it in this forum section: Help/Support/Feedback http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumcategory-9/helpsupportfeedback This is "Chatting With Mods", not "X thing is wrong, please fix." |
