I usually warn first if it is a first offense after that, ban. However, back then I would auto-ban if it is something that is uncontrollable such as inappropriate profiles. As for the chat room when it was still here, it depends on if you are just a bad bad spammer who never stopped after 2 warnings or so then auto-ban. Other than that I'm much nicer now than 2-4 years back. Although maybe rather too nice because it has just been warnings so far hmm.~

Yes and when I abuse my powers, I ban my own self, which has happened before when I had my "bad" phase. But usually we ban each other for pure fun (which was what I did during that "bad" phase...) and then BasouKazuma goes RAWRRRRRRR -bans you all- ^^~

We also did a New Years Banning event one year just between mods but I think that was in the chat rooms to see who could ban the quickest right at the stroke of New Years.

Haha! That sounded like a lot of fun! Wish the chat rooms were back up again, shame it died :C

I have a question, what happend to all the old anime crunchyroll used to carry, several years ago I lost all my saved favorites and am now kind of sad I can't find them. Just wanted to know what happened to all that stuff thanks.

Why don't you guys just start a crunchyroll IRC channel? Or is there one already? meh.. all this complaining about no chat rooms..

Don't have to be a mod to answer this one!

Crunchyroll went legal in 2009 and begun having to bid and acquire licenses for each show they now simulcast or have in their catalog.

Legitimate, inexpensive, expedient and high quality. Tis the way of the future.

We did have one before the actual chat rooms were built (and removed). However with IRC that we were using before on-website chat, we had no ways of moderating the chat rooms. There were suggestions that users create their own chat rooms and those are unmoderated and not affiliated with the site. Some of the retired moderators and I have thought of creating our own little chatroom software but that has remained in alpha for a while and then dropped. The reason why the one built on the website itself got removed was that it crashed all the time and maintaining it as well.

Really? I found the kiddo too frustrating, not to mention that his "journey away" lasted for what... 2 weeks? I tried following the manga, but I grew tired of even that. Do you read the manga, or do you prefer sticking to anime?

Can't remember if any of these shows were on CR back in the days, but Ghost in the Shell or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann I guess.
