These are my policies:

As long as they stay in their groups and the forum posts are in the groups, it is perfectly fine.

Also keep everything PG-13 (ie - no sexual roleplaying or anything close to it I do not want to see some nasttyyy going on in there! ).

That's a great question. If I ever find out I will let you know. Maybe one of the other mods can shed some light on it, considering it has had a post within the last two weeks it has to have been something recent. I am sure whoever did it had a pretty good reason though.

Unless it was Starry. Since she lives to hate and all.

It's not riddled with spam though, only a bunch of off-topic posts so I don't think it deserved to be locked. The same thing happened to the Anime guest pass thread, someone locked it for no apparent reason and AHTL unlocked it.

Probably was swept up in the "spring cleaning" that some moderators are currently doing.


I personally don't see the point in cleaning away an old thread that still has plenty of activity, just because it is old. That's just dumb.

If the thread was old AND inactive, sure. But that thread was not inactive.


So I did what I would normally do, unlock it. Gave it a new home in the Pictures section as a sticky thread.


I feel like I'm working against the will of other mods.

In all honesty, I haven't touched any threads that have had recent activity. I've mainly focused my locking and closing efforts on any and all threads that are 1 year without activity or older. so i'm not sure what happened there.

!!! It was probably be me, I've deleted thousands of them in the past few weeks... they start all looking the same after about and hour .... I need a break lol... Gah!

Yah, me too. I start at the very end so that I don't get rid of any new ones and work backwards.. I think the forums look much cleaner now and easier to manage.... although I was wondering should we keep removing older threads by month or by year?

I think this is what happened too... Yah, I don't think Ive deleted any posts from this year other than it broke the rules or the op was nuked.......well I'm sure if there was any thread that was popular enough it would come back around eventually... the urge would be too great!!

While removing threads by age sounds like a good idea, you should also look into the contents of the threads; some threads may be helpful and provide useful information. My problem with the CrunchyRoll fora is that has too much content, too much that all discussion value is practically lost. Threads here just generally don't have any thought-provoking values or discussion value; general discussion also falls victim to trolling quite often.
