I know that there is another thread like this...but c'mon...it gave too broad a timeline. There have been countless anime that have been underrated for the past FIFTY YEARS!

I wanna get the word out on some anime that people might have overlooked LAST YEAR.

Sure there are your Hayates, your Gurrens, your Narutos, your Bleaches and many others that have gained great success in the past year. However there are anime that were overlooked which were as good, if not better as the more famous ones.

I would like to start off with 2 of the best game spinoff anime I've seen since Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.

[email protected] XENOGLOSSIA- This was my most favorite anime of 2007 hands down. It even found it's way to my top-10 of all time. The anime is based on an arcade and console game called "THE [email protected]" released only in Japan by Namco (now Namco Bandai) on July 26, 2005. It was released on the Xbox 360 on January 25, 2007. The game follows the career of a producer who works for the fictional 765 Production studio and has to work with a selection of nine prospective pop idols (one of them is a pair of identical twins).

The series was later adapted into a television anime series, Idolmaster: Xenoglossia by Sunrise. Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, it was shown across Japan from April to October 2007. Numerous of the Sunrise staff working on Xenoglossia have also previously worked on My-HiME and My-Otome. The series centers around mecha and reimagines the ten prospective idols as fighter pilots of those robots, eight of them also posing as students. Some girls were also given different ages. Chihaya, Iori & Yayoi were all made 2 years older (17,16 & 15 respectively), while Yukiho was made a year younger at 15.

It should be noted that the anime series has no relation in story to the game and is an alternate universe, from the game.

The show centers around mecha and reimagines the ten prospective idols as fighter pilots of those robots, eight of them also posing as students. The large robots in this case are called IDOLs and their pilots are called Idolmasters.

In the show, Haruka Amami, initially underconfident with herself, passes an audition to be a singing idol and she is sent to Tokyo to start a career in the entertainment. She doesn't know that the agency that recruited her is actually a front for a big task force which uses robots to save the Earth from falling fragmented pieces of the moon. Yukiho Hagiwara and Iori Minase, who also want to be idols, are also taken by the same task force.

This anime took me completely by surprise with it's great storytelling, character development, and plot twists. The fansubbers even complimented Sunrise for "Making a great story out of NOTHING". Best of all, it had a good ending, something that a lot of anime lately have been lacking since the companies want to milk mor money off of fans in sequels, drama CDs, and whatnot. But Xenoglossia manages to give closure to the story quite well.

Night Wizard- I gotta be honest, the only reason why I watched this anime was because it was based on a REALLY good game. The original Night Wizard was a Japanese urban sorcery action role-playing game released in 2002. The game is heavily influenced by the PC game Yoru Ga Kuru! by AliceSoft. The game has diligently collected fans by publishing campaign replays on magazines not related to tabletop RPGs, and having the characters role-played by anime voice actors and actresses. A PC game titled Night Wizard Mahou Taisen - The Peace Plan to Save the World, which uses the same world setting as the original RPG version, was also released.

As for the anime...

Night Wizard. A term given to those whose mission it is to protect the world from impending darkness. Renji Hiiragi is one such Night Wizard, who is constantly called on missions, even though all he wants is to be able to go to school and graduate. However, his latest order was to protect Elis Shiho, who is a new transfer student at his academy. Being dragged into the Astronomy Club by Renji's childhood friend, Kureha Akabane on her first day at school, Elis soon realizes that she too, has the power to become a night wizard, after retrieving the Jewel of Affection. Along with Renji and Kureha, Elis now begins her fight and her new life, as a Night Wizard, both to collect the six other Jewels and to protect the world from eternal darkness.

Like Xenoglossia it had a great story as well. But the real reason why I sticked to this show was for the characters.

The main male lead Renji Hiiragi or as 4chan affectionally labeled him "Kyon with a FREAKING SWORD!" is a refreshing look at a typical Shounen-type protagonist. Hiiragi is constantly called upon for missions, which leaves him little or no time to go to school and subsequently graduate. Hiiragi is often used in the anime for comical purposes, often being teased about his 'school-life'. He is also known as the 'Falling Man' in school for hardly ever coming to school and his recent degrade from 3rd year to 2nd year also relies on his nickname.

Another memorable character was Elis Shihō or "Yuki with too much emotion" to 4chan. She is the main drive of the story. She recently transferred to Kimei Academy. On her first day at school she was recruited into the Astronomy Club by Kureha Akabane. During a fight with an emulator her artifact(broom) named Ain Soph Aur, which takes the form of her bracelet, revealed its power to protect her. Anzelotte informs Elis that she believes that Elis' special ability will allow them to get to the Emulators world. To do this she must first collect the seven Jewels of Virtue in order to complete the Ain Soph Aur.(there's a great plot twist I promise!).

and my personal favorite Akari Himuro or as 4chan called her "Shana with a FREAKING HUGE GUN!!!" She is a boosted-woman and also a mercenary soldier. Her broom is Gunner's Broom, which acts as a cannon that seems to do significantly more damage than other artifacts but is also much slower. Her personality is cold and always puts down Hiragi at any chance she gets even when it is apparent that he did not do anything. She's also a terrible cook. The first time her cooking was seen, a disgusting green ooze came out of the bento, forcing Renji to eat the entire thing to protect Elis from eating it. In fact, she has a special ability, "Destructive Cooking Skill", in the role-playing game rules.

I hope this gets the word out about these shows that didn't have that much buzz. You can also point out other great anime from last year that were probably overlooked by others as well. =3

I fucking know some of these but I haven't watched them since I care little about new stuff that comes out.

In Ace Combat 6 (Xbox 360), there are unlockable [email protected] schemes for certain aircraft. I haven't played the game (since I don't have a 360) but I'm pretty damn sure that's official.

Smaller sized episodes provides lesser quality. I suggest you to stream online than downloading low quality videos.

well.. i hav sum pretty much decent site.. rmvb type.... trust me, its same like avi type file or other video type, but in less size and sadly the one iv been looking is not on it.... so i thought any1 of u could share for it.... or if theres no choice ill just download the bigger size.... which is sucks...

yeah
downloadin eps takes too much of your time
after watching 1 episode you result in downloading the next ep
...
and i think there is no 'fast' download
it depends on the size of the file you are downloading and your internet connection speed

Xenoglossia was a great series. The first half was so mediocre but the second half was really amazing. The twists and turn of events executed very well. Many of you can't watch this because there's no streaming site for this, but I used IRC from bots to download it.

Also, Here are several underrated animu but surely it's enjoyable.

Baccano! - One of the most underrated anime but really a great series. The storyline was unique, the huge casts and fight scenes were awesome, the ending was great, and we also had three additional episodes!.

Minabi Straight - One of the best ending ever. 'nuff said.

Bamboo Blade - Kendo-fightan animu. Tama and Kirino are so moe.
