I agree with zafz.

When I'm really into a book, I love playing classical/orchestral/instrumental and soundscapes ^_^

Umm.... heres a beautiful, popular one:

"Serenade" by Schubert

Ah, but "On the wings of a song" by Mendelssohn is prob my fave piece:

And of course, "Butterfly Etude" from Chopin <33

And there's "Sarabande" from Handel <3

Since you like classical I suggest something by Vivaldi.I love his music a lot.And a great ,more modern, composer is George Gershwin.

Kawaranai Mono by Hanako Oku is a nice, quiet song.

Well I don't know too much about classical it may seem a little obvious for a literary club to play classical, or at the very least trite. Might I suggest some bossa nova tunes? Maybe something weird like Bjork or something cool like Royksopp (you probably heard his music in the geico commercial "remind me") ooh or some trance techno (hehe or not ) Anyway as long as it is ambient I'd be happy.
