Love on the Internet

Did the world made us? Or we created our world based on the limit of our imagination, whenever we conformed with certainty.

You've got me there. I guess what is real is real.

Well I think love can start there, but physicality is a necessary step.

I am not looking for love, but I have found three BFF's online. Two were local to me, and we were very like-minded and became very close. One is in another country, but we do write, call, pray together, and send one another packages. (((((HUGS))))) sandi

What's so difficult to accept those that are "like-minded?" It's just cultural assimilation, there's no love.

DF, at the time I was feeling very alone. (ETA that I was really feeling kinda like a freak! LOL! I'm sure you've never felt that way...) IRL I was not finding people with my beliefs and was sometimes misunderstood and ridiculed for it. (Just one, simple i.e. Christian friends didn't understand or easily accept my attachment parenting, and vice versa.) So it was a real blessing to find these friends, and the friendships have been going strong for 10+ years. I do love them very much indeed!

I must share that there have been some people since that I share like-mind with, but for some reason we just don't mesh easily. I have always, ALWAYS had plenty of friends that believe WAY differently than I do, and I treasure their support! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Don't assume loneliness made you somewhat unique, entitled, or even special. I can be alone and I'm fine with it, it's called solitude.

And be real, nobody can be "hugged" by you through the Internet.

All points noted, DF. I have been (((((HUGS))))) sandi online for many years. If I met any one of you IRL you would be hugged, like it or not. Nothing more to say to you on this matter. (((((HUGS))))) sandi

So can you "in real life" ever hug a bully, a tyrant, a rapist, or a psychopath? Even when the cultural practice of bullying is just a method of obtaining social status/capital known as popularity, oppression and exploitation are used to build modern civilization through the arbitrary claim/rights of ownership, while psychopathy runs synonymously with patriarchy. Where's your sense of "justice is fairness" then? When virtual apathy is the norms on the Internet, whether you like it or not.

The opposite of a hero isn't a villain, it is a bystander.
The opposite of love isn't hate, it is indifference.
The opposite of good isn't evil, it is apathy.

I said I would not discuss any further responses, and I will hold to that. I do need to apologize to you though, DF. My saying, I'm sure you've never felt that way..." was meant to be a dig, and I am sorry. Because of lowering myself to being mean-spirited I deserved your retort, the "unique, entitled, or even special" bit. Peace out! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

hahaha, love over internet... LOL... I think that's quite pathetic. I am sure there are lots of nice people around you in a real life, you just have to notice them

When you choose not to express yourself, you encase yourself in darkness.

~I don't think love exists on the internet. It sounds like some BS someone came up.I think that when people interact w/ others on the internet and they get interested to that person,it's not really what I'd call love.I mean, how can one fall in love w/ someone whom they haven't even meet in person yet?Let's say that they've chatted w/ them for a while, or they've seen their good pictures then they claim that they're in love?!Don't think so!Maybe infatuation could define what they really feel, but as far as I know, LOVE doesn't even come to my mind.

Love may come, it has permission like the sun, the moon and the stars...but sometimes in this strange place, this otherworld, you pay a price..

Beware the sweetest of demons, they come when darkness gathers....

they bring love like a shadow and let it dance before your eyes, playing tricks on you, leaving you to wonder, which door leads to reality...
and leave you broken, like a vase on a dusty floor...

............... shattered, for all that was not..

Actually, there are those with low self-esteem and self-confidence, that depended on others to give them a sense of materialistic and utilitarian love perceived by mainstream. Without themselves realizing that all they are doing is accumulating social capital in the form of approval, prestige, and fame. Not acceptance.

Case to point, what are the "bridezilla." Rainbows and unicorns be damned.
