Indonesian Production House SinemArt's drama, titled Buku Harian Nayla (Nayla's Diary), has been accused of plagiarizing 1 Litre of Tears. The series bears some striking resemblances, like the name "Aya" being replaced with "Nayla" (Chelsea Olivia) and Moses (Ralph Glenn Alinskie) in place of Asou. The series aired in RCTI as a special Christmas series. The comparison between the two series have been discussed by the show's audience. The scenario was written by Serena Luna (or sometimes called Chevyra Edenia).

Indonesian fans of 1 Litre no Namida have reported this admitted plagiarism problem to Fuji TV and the Indonesian mass media, but there has yet to be a response. What most upsets them is that RCTI failed to credit or acknowledge Fuji TV and 1 Litre of Tears, from which the story is presumed to have been adapted, and noted that "This story is fictitious: the similarities of names, characters, places, and times are purely coincidental."

Amrita TV is to dub 1 Litre no Namida.

Never give up and be yourself, no matter what problem you encounter. There are still your loved ones supporting you, no matter how hard or difficult, the day will still goes on. Think of other peoples who facing more difficulties, not only "1 Liter Of Tears" show you the meaning of love (family, friends). The most tragedy disaster which hit China, people are still not giving up saving people life's. Digging with their bare hands, to save people who are trapped. Cheer up! We must try to help others as much as we could. Even you got no money or strength, you still can pray for them Image Lets not give up Image

I love this drama very much. I didn't cry during every scene. I actually cry when something heartbreaking happens. i'm a cry baby. this show has taught me many things. I'm actually researching on Spinocerebellar Atrophy. this girl really did inspire me and many others to not give up hope and keep moving along. We should live for others and ourselves. Thank you for uploading this jdrama. Thank you Aya-san for the inspiring words.

This drama really makes us think about what matters most in our lives!
I really liked it!
Even the Special Episode made me cry a river! It's so touching!
I'd like to have the strenght Aya had to the end and the loving interest she'd always shown to everybody and I want to be faithful as Asou!
This drama impress great values in who watches it. ^^

I Really Love this drama. && I Dont say Love Unless I really Mean it..
It soo sad But Really Touching.
&& Its a true Story. I admire Aya.
She was strong && never gave up until she reached the end.
She died Peacefully. I Cried ONE LITRE OF TEARS!
I finished && my handcheif was soaked..The keyboard was wet.
Ahh. Aya Is an inspiration..She gave me a great message
Life...Live Life the fullest with no regrets..
I like That. && Like her family. They were very supportive.
They were always there. Ako finished Aya's Dream about the high school thing
Her Mother && Father Never Gave up && Love her very Much. No matter how tired they were
they still visit..Hiro was there & Rika Too
Her Friends were their to help her.
&& Asou was there. I guess he loves her..
Ahh Life..

This drama was the most inspiring drama i have ever seen. It just makes me so lucky for what I have and what things I take for granted like the ability to walk and run freely and talk etc. I cried so much!
I loved this drama and I would totally recommend it to everyone else who hasn't seen it!
I also admire Aya so much for all that she has done.. ^_^ and for the character of Haruto, i love him too. Image
