WOW. Some of the stuff that I'm reading is...lets leave it at that. I think 2Pac is the greatest among MY generation. However, the one I'm really feeling right now (that's alive) is the RZA. Now this whole Bone Thugs N Harmony vs. Lil Wayne needs to stop. They both are good but Bone Thugs take the cake! They're more versatile on the issues/topic at hand than Wayne as well as the use of language (though he did better as a kid...as he could anyway). He's getting better at it, but his songs still lack it. There's more to a song than the use of metaphors (which lack in rap songs of today) and smilies in particular, which most rappers ONLY know how to use . I clearly feel that the ONLY reason that people, ESPECIALLY this younger generation like Lil Wayne better is because he has beats (beats have become # 1; important over lyrical content now in the music business) AND they listen to the radio (which plays the same stupid song every hour or hour and a half depending on the event or playlist) or watch TV (heavy promoting on there too) which displays are also limited. Though my generation wasn't much different, advertisement and such has been more progressive AND aggressive since the 1980s, (but I've noticed it really taking off in the start of the millenium) to the point now that people can't separate from it or take it apart. I guess conforming tells you and makes you feel that you're normal.

*Applause*
@Pac was the best rapper ever. All his lyrics made sense and mostly talked about real issues. Nowadays rappers still whine about how rough they got it and use the profits from their albums to party with Paris Hilton.

Lil Wayne versitile lol, now i listened to some lil wayne before lolipop and some was ok but hes started off his daddys career and his lyrics r ripped from other songs man listen to them, i dont think he "sold out" with lolipop either any time a artist gets a popular song people call it "selling out" if lolipop didnt hit it so dam big i bet it'd be your favorite song beacause it makes you feel special to listen to some less known of artists, now a classic rapper whos been around the block and everyone knows ludacris, not mega popular but i like his shit
