If the universe is truly infinitely large, it is impossible to fully understand it just based on the concept that you can never reach infinity.

I think that we won't ever find out about everything.
No matter how hard we try.

I can't think of a new color.
I just keep coming up with.
Blue. Light Blue.

the universe I massively huge, not to mention with the possibility of infinite dimensions and other universes. Humanity (and all it's accomplishments) occupies only a microscopic dot on a galactic scale, therefore I doubt humans can imagine anything that's out there

Right well I saw this documentary on T.V. about the universe etc. Basically they ended it by saying something along the lines of 'scientists continue to understand more and more of the universes secrets' and it got me thinking.

Even assuming we could teleport to anywhere in the universe at will and actually reach the secrets of space, Is it really possible for Humans to actually comprehend some of these mysteries?

I believe that there are somethings that no matter how hard we try we cannot understand- or even imagine. Take for example colours. Now, can you imagine and create a new colour in your head that you could not have seen with your eyes, in other words imagine a new primary colour, a colour that is not made up of a mix of the colours we see everyday. Surely if the human imagination was truly limitless like many people seem to believe we could do it with ease, even if we couldn't make it real in the world. Yet I can't. I cannot imagine a new colour that isn't based off what I see everyday. I cannot see what that colour would look like, even in my head. You try.

Surely therefore there will be other things out there that it is simply impossible for us to ever even imagine, let alone understand. Our minds simply can't comprehend them. For this reason, will we ever truly be able to unlock the secrets of our universe? (or even some of those found on this planet)

Alright think about it this way...You can count and count for as long as you want (or have a computer do it for you) and you'll progress ever closer and closer to infinity, but there's a catch. As infinity is not a number but a concept, you'll never reach it no matter how hard you try... Fun! Limits! ...This is true of reality as well. In an infinite universe you'll never explore the entire universe and thus never uncover all of its secrets. It might indeed be possible for one to be able to discover all of the universe's secrets in one field like Physics, but this is assuming that there is a finite number of said secrets, which in fact could very well be a faulty assumption in and of itself...

Still, what if this infinite universe is then contained in an infinite multiverse that happens to also contain and infinite number of these infinite universes? Infinite possibilities then become infinite probabilities and thus the inability for one to comprehend everything becomes a certainty.

Anyways, its best not to try to understand everything, as we Humans are not omniscient beings...

people only use about 10% of their brain power so if you think about what we're capable with 10% I doubt that with 100% anything would be "beyong human comprehension" :\

The trouble is nobody CAN use more than 10% lol. If we had a choice i'm pretty sure we would become 10 times cleverer on the spot

not now, but ever noticed that we get smarter and 'evolve' with time?

20,000 years ago we discovered fire and now we're building robots and such

Given the right resourses and time it would be impossible for single human intelligence to but as a whole race as a whole could have a damn good shot at it

Sadly I doubt we will ever have the time or resources before we go extinct so I doubt it

Well everything is confusing like people ask so many questions.. and no one can even find the answers to it so why bother? What is the meaning of life? What is logic? What is love? etc etc.. so yeah.. better off just living life and not asking so many questions..

omg did i waffle..
