The Lost city of Atlantis
Posted 5/30/08 , edited 5/30/08
I started watching a documentary of the Bermuda Triangle. There has been many "signs" of a lost civilization called Atlantis. It is believed to have technology that is superior than ours and the reason that a compose becomes useless is due to some sort of magnetic force.

For more information go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantis

Here is an Image of a rock that is believed to be part of Atlantis.

My question is simple. Do you believe the Lost city of Atlantis is real?

By the way I did search for duplicates and there wasn't any.

Perhaps, but in human history there could've been a real city such as that; like many mythologies that we have today (e.g: greek ones) they're normally based on things that happened in nature that isn't explainable by humans back then; hence they create the reasons out of their sheer mind.

Like wise to Atlantis, I believe there probably were a city long ago near the sea or what not, but was abandoned and was well, gone the next thing people knew and only found traces of it - hence the theory of the lost city.

even more so, people tent to change things, or add on things, take the story of King Author (i'm sure most people know it) he was actually a real king, but after his death many stories of his were made "bigger" or "better" or even just merely created; King Authors' stories often have a hidden Chrisitanity meaning or hinting behind it; because the people who wrote and/or record the stories of him changed it or add on things to it to make it seem that way; so what we know about him today, most of them may probably be just myths.

Like wise to Atlantis, we could found traces of such a city in the sea or rocks (like your picture) but it could by all means done by bored teenagers back then just to "lets throw the rock in the sea". it could very much be possible, but people some people really want to believe that it's real or its there, thus they make the connection of things that could also "be there" for a million other reasons to the very reason of "Atlantis"

hmm i think "atlantis" or just random city does exist and that it really sank, which really isnt that hard to believe but i dont think they've got some crazy advanced technology that we've never seen before. I mean this is not Indiana Jones so that's impossible lol

I truly believe that Atlantis existed. Obviously, with so much time passing and legends told, the facts about Atlantis are more than likely to be much more exaggerated than they should be. I mean, the Aztecs believed in gods that have been more or less explained with real world materials. The "advanced technology" of Atlantis is possibly just an interpretation of Atlantis by some more primitive civilization. Of course, I would sincerely like the legend of the lost Atlantis to be true, but I can only be so hopeful. Lost civilizations are always the most fascinating to read about, and any information on them tend to draw the entire world's attention.

Ancient maps of Atlantis strangely resemble South America flipped around.
