It is a popular parlor game during the 70's. And until now, mixi is the term they call in Japan among high school students, a dating game that gives anyone a chance to get properly introduced to a friend of a friend. Nowadays, the same principle has been adopted in cyber space say, "Where do you think, Facebook got the idea of social networking scheme originated from?" I might also add that Mixi is a Japanese site, similar to Facebook and Youtube.

There are communities or groups in mixi dedicated to Japanese people who want to learn English. You can befriend them and share each other's culture. You teach them about you, they teach you about them.
