Similarities Between D.Gray-Man and Full Metal Alchemist?

They are both animes
They are both based on a manga
They were drawings

the the 2 shows aren't really similar if that's what you're comparing but some of the characters are similar to each other
but allen's right arm is his normal arm
his left is the one that's deformed
and kanda and mustange aren't similar because kanda isn't in charge of anything
he doesn't really give out any order to anyone, except the finders, and mustang does
mustang is more simlar to komui becasue komui is in charge but there are people above him the same as mustang

o-o well i havent watched Full Metal Alchemist..but.. o-o the similarities for Allen and Edward is their weapons are both on the left hand? o_O?

umm... both have arms as a weapon? lol

wow, i wasn't the only one who thought that!
lol, my first impression of allen was actually that he looked kinda like a white haired ed... with shorter hair of course. and the special arm, though it's on different sides.
plus the whole black order = military, exorcists = alchemists, noah = homunculi thing struck me too...
but anyway, I think all the characters have completely unique personalities and i love both FMA & DGM <3 XD

ooh, i can think of a whole bunch of similarities between Ed and Allen.
1) both are missing an arm
2) both eat a LOT
3) both are enemies with the same voice actor (Travis Willingham does both Mustang and Kanda)
4) both hate being called short
5) both have a nickname they hate (shorty & pipsqueak; beansprout & shortstack)
6) hommunculi and noah
7) black order and military

...and other stuff i forgot ^^
