....When meeting someone for the first time you can say 'Hajimemashite'. But if you say that again to someone you already met, they will take is as if you have forgotten that you already met them, which can be kinda rude.

If someone says to you
'doozo yoroshiku'
you can respond with 'doozo yoroshiku, or with 'kochira koso doozo yoroshiku'.
('doozo yoroshiku' is like 'pleased to meet you [literally means please be favorable to me], and 'kochira koso doozo yoroshiku' is like 'it's my pleasure to meet you)

and remember people from Japan always introduce their last name (family name) first, then their first.

Hope this helped.

I've been taught that it's not "you can say.. ".. it's "you have to say..." when it concerns meeting someone new. For everyone you've just meet, you have to say "Hajimemashite" out of politeness. And you only say this to people you've just meet. If you meet the same person twice, you can use "Konnichiwa" instead. You don't have to use "Konnichiwa" with "Hajimemashite". And when introducing yourself to someone for the first time, "Doozo yoroshiku" is also a must.
