Breaking Dawn
Posted 7/16/08
Holy crap this is my newest obsession.
I only started reading this series last week. I still have 7 chapters of Eclipse left to read so I'm not making any quick judgments for Breaking Dawn just yet but I did go and reserve a copy at the bookstore. I'm so excited.

To be honest the writing really is mediocre and has a lot of super cheesy elements (sparkle? I mean come on! admit thats cheesy.) It very obviously is targeted to females in their teens. Regardless, I still love the plot. I find it sexy, endearing, fun, charming, and am hopelessly addicted.

EDIT: I have enrichments all the way till 5.30 in the evening on the day of collection! ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

1 more week 'til the release.
I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from skipping to the last page.

I just preordered it on Amazon!
But now I'm thinking how much more fun it would be to reserve a copy in Borders and attend the midnight release party.

Well I bet you're all wondering why a guy would read this book/series, and maybe obsess over it a little (or a lot). Well I'm not too sure why, but you now have my story.

Basically I'm pretty messed up. I get obsessive really easily and the last example of that was when I was at a cabin with some friends, and my Ipod ran out of batteries and everyone was sleeping so I had nothing to do. I picked up a book off the floor, read about a hundred pages in until it was confiscated by one of my friends. She told me to just buy it, she wouldn't even let me read it on the way back when she was sleeping, even though she's read it over ten times!! Whenever I start something I always finish it, so when we got back from the cabin, about a week later, I downloaded the an ebook of that book I had started reading. Then, the story wasn't over so I DL'd the next two books in the series, and I finished all three in two days. The name of that book and series I obsessed over, was well... Twilight. <hangs head in shame> So I can't wait for the fourth one, and all the girls that I have told my secret to, have laughed their asses off. I have yet to tell any guys, I want to keep at least one shred of dignity...
Laugh all you want.

The worst part is, I can't get the new book without entering a store with a bunch of Fangirls in the way screaming about how good the book is and how hot Edward is. As soon as I approach, they will give me the evil eye that says "you';re not worthy of this fine piece of literature," If I ask anyone to buy it for me, then they will know my terrible secret, yet all the girls who I have already asked to anyways, refuse, just so I will humiliate myself. I'm so totally screwed, I think I will walk into the bookstore, at 12:01, be in some sort of disguise that makes me unrecognizable, put in earplugs to block out all the screaming, and hope I can survive long enough to get the book and get out.

If you can't tell, I'm freaking out.

I don't know if anyone posted this. but you can find the first chapter of Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer's 5th vampire book on her website.

It's from Edward's point of view and starts on the Bella's first day at school.

Link: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html

It's pretty good, I enjoyed the Twilight series so far and I liked the first chapter of Midnight Sun, so I hope Breaking Dawn does the series justice. ^^

lol, my brother had the same problem when he read the sisterhood of the traveling pants, so i had to buy the fourth one for him. but anyways, i think it's pretty awesome that you like Twilight. a lot of guys brush it off because its a romance book, but the fact that you are willing to admit you like it is cool. i know another guy like that too...
