I seriously doubt this will ever happen. First every online store in the world would be against this. Second it would break a lot of monopoly laws, at least in the US. Third if you look at that page where they show price options, why would you even need need a search engine option if you can only access a few commercial pages any ways, would make search engines pointless...

This type of rumor has been around on the internet since the mid 90's. Heck when I first started using CompuServe (now AOL) in the early 90's you paid 5-6 dollars a hour to be online. Why because there was no competition, soon as competition came the price went to 24.95 per month.

Same thing will happen even if this was true, your big ISP's might do this, but it will just make room for small local ISP's that offer full internet access to spring up. Seriously though it would be pointless for the big ISP's to do this, if the internet becomes a pointless corporate outlet for big names it kills over 95% of their customer base, which to me would be bad business. ISP's do not have to pay to access the content on the internet it is free to connect to it, so why would they block it, it sure seems pointless on their part to even think about.

At this point it is all just chicken little, the sky is falling worthless banter. Four years is a long time in internet terms, I am sure a lot of things will change making this whole topic pointless by then.

i agree. All jobs will be effect in this. Many if not all will be laid off.

i doubt it

if no one here pays their bills they would see that some of this is already being implemented by those companies. Actually it is about size. The past few days they have been sending letters stating that their is a new bandwidth rule being implemented where if you pass the amount of GB they tell you. You will be charged 2 dollars more for every GB you use.

So many people are going to commit suicide now, including my brother. And how the hell am I supposed to watch dramas on veoh,d-addicts and stuff. And by then I'll be in grade 12 I need internet O_O books are hard to find and you never find what you want. But I don't think it's gonna happen who will pay that much to get on few sites? And eventually they'll lose money. But if it happens (Oh well that's why hackers are here for ) ,,,,

Question question..

On the website "http://ipower.ning.com/netneutrality"

It says, "TELUS has already started blocking all websites that aren't in the subscription package for mobile Internet access" Doesnt tht mean they are only blocking websites which did not subscribe to the internet... Which is not Stopping the Internet network to Use??...

Just askingg.. =]
