I consider Pet Sounds and The Velvet underground & Nico to be required listening for anybody that even remotely enjoys music. Seriously it doesn't get more golden than these oldies. I would also maybe consider putting OK Computer or Kid A up there as well. If you like electronic music I'd suggest giving Kraftwerk a spin and if you're looking into getting into Post-Rock then there's no better place to start than with Sigur Rós. If you like Hardcore then At The Drive-In, Refused, Hüsker Dü, Fucked Up,and maybe even The Pixies would suit your taste. If College Rock is more your thing then it doesn't get much better than Pavement or R.E.M. As far as Hip Hop goes I think more people should really listen to Kanye West and Outkast. Their's to much to recommend for any one genre!

Click to show or hide I first listened to Pet Sounds about 10 years ago and I still love it! |

Favourite bands and/or songs that are similar to what I would like to be recommended: Black Cherry by Acid Black Cherry, Gossip by Hatsune Miku ft. OSTER project (without the vocaloid). Genres that I wish to be recommended: Big Band, Bebop, Swing Comments: I'm not sure what genre those songs would fit under. I would like know some artists, songs, or even genre category that are similar to either of the two songs (preferably Gossip). I also prefer a woman with a husky voice as a vocal (any language) but it is not a must. Recommend anything you may have. Thanks~ |
