I think too much perversity in anime could really ruin the show a bit. :L
Like High School of The Dead, really nice zombie show. :/
Too much skirt, cleavage, and other stuff. . - .
Really takes away the seriousness of the show.

High School of the Dead is the male dream for me. An action show with awesome action scenes/guns and lots of cleavage and fanservice. Best show ever.

anime is another form of art and i dont see anything wrong with what we create to go along with a nice good story

Nozoki Ana (A Peephole) is getting an anime but the TV version may just be blank video with sound based upon the manga! Fine with me...

I honestly don't see why not. While Alms may be correct in that kids watch anime, anime is not just for kids and there are mature shows out there. Just because it is animated doesn't make it any different to TV and Film which feature sex. Just because it is less likely to give you a boner than live action shows doesn't mean it should be avoided if it is used, needed or relevant to the story the show is telling.

You know, quite a few Americans complained about all the sex in Game of Thrones as well. They didn't seem to have any problem with the violence, for some odd reason. Personally, I'm ok with sex in anime--not to be confused with hentai. If it works with the story, and it is done right, it can add a lot to a show. If the sex is there just for pointless fan service, well... that's a different story.

If it's purpose is to further drive the plot, I see nothing wrong with it. Many mainstream shows like Gundam Seed, Evangelion, and recently Sword Art Online have used them in such ways. Just because some characters in a show have sex doesn't automatically make it porn.

Perhaps he keeps on having to slap down a boner and that ruins the show for him.

Seriously, however, there are guys that seem to have a diminished interest in sex. It is enough of an issue in Japan that they have a term for them.

If someone were truly "meh" about sex at 17, I can only imagine what they would be like at my age.

depends on the anime (plot and characters), if it's good (there is a worthwhile plot) and the sex scenes are done tastefully, then sure
but when the scenes done are just for the scenes, then we have hentai imo
