Sex is a normal thing; adults in relationships have sex with each other. It's not really something that needs to be shoved aside so that we can pretend it doesn't happen, because it does.

What I don't like, though, are sex scenes just for the sake of having a sex scene--where titillation is the only goal and the focus is on the genitalia and emphasis of moans and noises. That's just porn. If you want to make/watch porn, go do that, don't try to mix it in with a show that isn't entirely porn.

I suppose it comes down to the difference between "doing the nasty" and "making love". I really appreciate a show that acknowledges that normal people in the same situations as the characters would probably be having sex. I can't stand a show that goes out of its way to emphasize the sex and ignore the relationship. A great example of a show that uses sex well is "ef~a tale of memories". It never really shows the sex itself, but you see the characters cuddling naked, their clothes spread out before them. You see them waking up together, blushing about it later; it's quite cute.
