Do you have any experience on mind over matter? How does it work?

Mind over matter was Mao Zedong's idea that rural peasants could be "proletarianized" so they could lead the revolution and China could move from feudalism to socialism. It departs from Leninism in that the revolutionaries are peasants, instead of the urban proletariat.....

"Mind over matter" was also a phrase popularized during the 1960s and 1970s. It originally was used in reference to paranormal phenomena such as extra-sensory perception and psychokinesis. However, it has also been used in reference to mind-centric spiritual and philosophic doctrines such as responsibility assumption. It is the belief that the mind is more powerful than the body. Specifically, mind over matter refers to controlling pain that you may or may not be experiencing, such as holding your hand under extremely hot water and feeling no pain. Also, "self-help" personalities such as Tony Robbins claim that, through the power of concentration and "positive thinking", people can walk on hot coals without getting burned. This claim is made despite the fact that there are solid, scientific explanations for firewalking. The phrase is present in the 2000s as well, usually used as slogan by hackers and hacker sites.

Maybe. It did not hurt that much when my brother smacked me in the head with a chair, I had to get stitches. I don't mind pain that much, when I get hurt I try to ignore the pain. Also, I fell off of my bike once and could not move my arms past a certain point, but I still just picked up my bike and walked all the way to my friends house.

Mind over matter. Odd subject and something i am personally interested in. Our minds are our thoughts and perceptions. they are nothing but electrical signals in our brain and can be easily altered unnaturally. They can also be naturally altered by the person but it is a much harder feat. I believe that anything would be possible for a person to do if they thought it and wanted it enough. Mind over matter is not really an effective way of thinking though. You could think something and make your body do it. The problem with this is.. it does not always work. You could think and want to sprout wings and fly but it wouldnt happen anytime soon. I believe it COULD happen, but just not to you.
Our minds control everything we do so it would also control what we are made of. We are made of amino acid sequences. If we think enough and want something enough, we MIGHT just be able to speed up our evolution cycle due to what we want. It would of course still take a long time and have to have specific measures. Testing it is nearly impossible but well, its just my theory and opinion.

i think yes.. last year i get really sick (the doctors are so confused about it) that i stayed 1 month in a hospital.. then i just keep on thinking that one day i'll be alright... and everyday im getting better and better... its because of the treatments that im getting in the hospital and positive thinking.. (self healing).. ^.^ yeah.. i've read a book once about self healing..
