Alternate-world episode shown in May theatrical preview before July DVD release

The official Japanese website for the television anime adaptation of Key's Clannad visual novel franchise has posted a 30-second trailer for the Clannad: Tomoyo-Hen (Clannad: Tomoyo Edition) episode. The episode is set in "another world" separate from the storyline of the original 23-episode slice-of-life series. The producers held a preview theatrical screening of this episode for 400 randomly selected fans on May 31, and the episode will ship in the eighth volume of the Japanese DVDs on July 16.

Date of Release: July 16 with Volume 8 of Clannad DVD
