The Japanese online retailer Game Star posted a listing for KOEI's female-oriented La Corda D'Oro 2 Forte (Kin-iro no Corda 2 F) romance simulation game that indicates a television
series is in the works. According to the listing, a new characer named Etō will appear in both the PSP game, which will ship in Japan on February 26, and a television anime that is scheduled to premiere in March. Satoshi Hino will voice the new Etō character, but no other game retailer includes a mention of a television anime series in its listings.

The first La Corda D'Oro game was adapted into a television anime series, La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~, in 2006. The story takes place in an academy where a girl receives a magical violin to compete in the school's elite music program. The player can choose how the girl interacts with her fellow students, including a bevy of handsome males. Two other franchises in KOEI's Neo Romance line romance simulation games for female players, Angelique and Haruka -Beyond the Stream of Time-, have also been adapted into television anime series.

aoi kaji, hino's no.1 fan and appears in the 2ND LA CORDA GAME(the ps2 game)
but then, there's still hope for season 2=} the manga has aoi kaji as well.

La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~ TV Special Confirmed
posted on 2008-12-07 04:38 EST
Sequel based on KOEI's romance games for female gamers to air next spring

The official website for La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~, the anime series based on KOEI's female-oriented romance simulation franchise, has confirmed that a tentatively titled La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~ anime special will air next spring. The story continues after the intraschool music competition of the first game and anime series. The budding music student Kahoko meets the brusque boy Etō, the new youthful school board director Akihiko Kira, and the mysterious transfer student Aoi Kaji.

The Japanese online retailer Game Star had already posted a listing for La Corda D'Oro 2 Forte (Kin-iro no Corda 2 F), a Sony PSP remake of a game sequel, that indicated that a television anime is in the works. The first La Corda D'Oro television anime aired in 2006, and it centered on a girl (Kahoko) who receives a magical violin to compete in her academy's elite music program with a bevy of handsome males. Viz Media published the ninth volume of Yuki Kure's ongoing manga version of La Corda D'Oro in North America.

I'm pretty much positive this is a duplicate (I've seen billions of threads about the same thing) but I don't have the time to go looking and this might be a good place to get this whole thing straightened out. I'm pretty much done with all of these retarded rumors and want to get straight to the factual evidence.

Earlier today I, along with, presumably, the other members of one of the La Corda d'Oro fan groups (http://www.crunchyroll.com/group/La_corda_doro_fans) received a PM from one of the group's moderators, freya. It gave news about a second season for the La Corda d'Oro ~primo passo~ (aka Kin'iro no Koruda ~primo passo~) anime, apparently to be titled La Corda d'Oro ~second passo~ (aka Kin'iro no Koruda ~second passo~), along with a link to the page dedicated to the second season. There was only one page with a pic of three new (hot male :3) characters who were also featured in the second La Corda d'Oro game, along with a link to the main page of the website, the title of the "second season", a short blurb in Japanese with the header "Story", and something in Japanese that said 2009 and had two exclamation marks under the title. I don't know much Japanese and for some reason the characters refuse to be copy-and-pasted into my computer's translator, so I have no idea as to what the article is actually about (if anyone could offer a translation, I would be immensely grateful), and if it even refers to the anime at all.

Then there's that rumor that the second season has already been released in Japan and has just not yet made it to CR. That is utter bullshit. There is no other site that references this apparent second season other than CR, and at first it "was going to be uploaded in November", then November came and they were saying 2009, and I'm willing to bet that their just going to keep pushing the deadline back, holding our attention like waving a wooden carrot in front of a donkey. There are no pics from the second season, no websites that mention the second season aside from CR, including Corda's official site, and there have been no iron-clad promises or solid evidence as to the authenticity of this claim. If you want to keep believing in such pie in the sky, go ahead, I won't stop you, but unless someone has something solid to offer as evidence I'm not believing it.
