i was just wondering if people are truly kind and do good stuff or 'cause they are taught to?
then if people do good things because they are taught to,are they kind in the first place?

No man does anything from the goodness of their hearts, we always have selfish goals, even though we may not realize it.

well, in my opinion..we are born or created with good hearts^^ however, that was in the past...people nowadays easily do evil, rather than good~_~

hmmm I like to think its something that can't be taught more something we all have but choose to use it when it suits us....
As for being taught its not a teaching but more of a morale guidance.
Events can Impact how people choose to use there kindness as there is always a motion behind everything we do even if we don't release or...what be the reason for doing it ?

seriously everyone is just taught to be kind and evenually they do kind things out of the sake for being nice. ppl who seem mean or are bullies today were usually went through tough times and learned to be mean in order to survive or parents never really cared for them and didnt teach them anything. that is why theres gangs and all that since there parents probably abandoned them or they went through harsh times.
Also i heard about a story of this guy who brainwashed this kid when he was really young so they could work together and they killed a bunch of ppl and after they got arrested the kid didnt feel any guilt, then after ten years after he was in jail he made his first apology to one of the ppl he killed. this just shows that he was purely taught to be mean or be a killing machine in this case. and only once he thought about what he had for a really long time he felt guilt

I think it depends on the person, and if you're asking if it is possible to be kind for the sake of being kind, I would say it is possible.

As for your second question, people do not learn what they do not want to learn. At first, it might only be following someone's order, but it is more or less a first step in learning. In the end, what is attempted to be taught is a reason to be kind not just acts of kindness. So, yes, even if people are taught, they can still be kind. But they are only kind when they act from their reason.

It's something your born with. I've helped people that I fucking HATE in the past. Either you have the conscious to help anyone (no matter what) or you don't.

i do wat i do cuz i feel that its the right way. i wasnt taught of any good things. my mom always told me that a good person does things without hesitation while someone who is taught will standbye thinking there is only one way to help them.

Even if you did it out of pure kindness in a way the act of kindness is still selfish. Becuase you get personal satisfaction after a good deed....Think about it.......?

Yes, that is true, but it doesn't change the fact that the person is still kind. Or would you say that being kind means doing something good for others without any gain of some sort?
