i learn like single words...but really...not a lot...

Yeah, it helps a little. Definitely can't understand everything without subs, but you start to get little tid-bits here and there, which is a nice!

yuuuuuuupp!! in order to maintain the japanese that i learned, i watch jdramas and japanese songs. i speak, read, and write fluently in korean (but dramas help me keep up with my listening skills!). i DID pick up SOME words in chinese dramas....although they were like....i, you, mom, aunt, and etc...LOLLL!!! HEY! at least i learned (or...that's what i think at least)....
