Anyone using Subtitle Workshop to sub?

I just started and I have no idea what I'm doing.

I finished subbing a video, but how do I save it into a video file (.avi)?

Here are all the programs I used: Subtitle Workshop, VobSub, and AVIRecomp

1) Use Subtitle Workshop to sub the video
2) Save it as an .srt file when you're finished with the subbing
3) Open AVIRecomp
4) Under the Source file area, open the RAW video
5) Under the Output file area, choose a location on your computer to save the file and name it. There's also a small pull down menu for you to choose the new AVI file size. Pick a reasonable size for your new file. (ex. if it was originally 170mb, choose about 180-200mb for the new one)
6) Then go under the Additions tab, check the enable/disable box under Subtitles and load your .srt sub file.
7) Go under the Settings tab and under the pull down menu that says Idle, choose normal.
8) Now go to the Queue tab and click add to queue
9) After the file has been added to the white box, click start.

Saving it takes a few hours for a file about 180mb so have patience.
You should have the finished product in the folder that you saved it in.

And...that's it

I tried looking for FAQs and help sites, but either I'm too stupid, or just not ooking hard enough. I got Ulead DVD Workshop and get the whole video set.

My problem is saving the file into a video file like .avi I want to upload this anime on Youtube.

ok so u want to hardsub?

here's what I do, if u didn't already download VOBSUB... do so.

VobSub will overlay your subtitles over your AVI file as long as the sub title file has the same name. I usually set it for "always load" for their the subtitles will be overlayed, but this is still only a softsub.

next after you have VobSub, download yourself AviRecomp ( recommended as it's free ) or WinAvi Converter ( you'll have to find yourself a registered pirated copy ).
Both programs have the ability to hardsub your AVI file, but AviRecomp is more useful in the this situtaion because it has an extra option to load your subtitles and choose the certain size of your file. Which I think for CR is 300 mb, I usually just make mine 299 just to be safe.

so that's what I do personally, I really havent tinkered w/ workshop just yet but it looks promising.

Hopes this helps, if u have any questions go ahead and ask.. you got killar and I who know what we're doing. Not too mention Killar is one of CR exclusive subbers...
