Yup.
When you have the video imported, go to the side and find "Make titles or credits."
Then choose "title on the selected clip"
From there, just add your subtitles.

I think Subtitle Workshop is easier though. Just my two cents

Good luck!

if ur REALLY lazy...

use vobsub..
just get a SRT file, and use that as a template hahaha.
just make the sub and time it, and then change the name of the file.

but ask Killar or Pewee, since they're more pro at it.
im just ghetto and lazy.

How Subbing works.... Simplified Version, lol
1. Ok.. first you have to translate it to your language of choice.
2. Then time your subbing.. There is a Timing guide on Animesuki, simply search for it.
3. Next typeset your subtitles. Insert Scripts and all sorts of stuff
4. Next er... do whatever you want.
5. Released.

Subbing is fun but you need lots and lots of patience. If you need help simply go to animesuki. Lots of Professional Subbers are there.

Yes people want to sub!!! I'm loving this, but I have to clarify thefinalword's statement about me being a pro.

BK and killar showed me how to hardsub, that i now know inside out but I don't speak any asian languages so i never really bothered trying to learn subtitling.

I was translating naruto for a few seasons from dattebayo's english versions but you know how it goes with the chicken and the feather... It lasted for a few seasons then the group dismantled. All i did really was watch the episode and then rewatch with notepad at the ready.

I have never timed so I cant help with that either.

A FEW MORE LINKS:
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_17098.htm classic link to soft subs for drama shows.
http://subscene.com/ mainly movies and in all kinds of weird languages (can be hard to find the files they where done for, not all subs are posted with a link to the original file)

lol pewee, it's cool.

yah timing is annoying, ive been subbing and timing "Death Trance" for over a month..
I've done about 1/4 of the movie, but I get side tracked w/ work and school...

then I get too lazy to continue....
