Word to the wise... when visiting a foreign country, DO NOT DRINK TAP WATER. You don't know what's in it and the people that live there could be used to it but you may not be. Unless you have the availability of immediate medical help, avoid drinking water in an unfamiliar country. Even moving from one city to another I got sick from the water so... be careful.

I'm a Filipino. These are my favorite vacation spots:
1. IFUGAO - it's a long ride from Manila, but once I get there I don't want to go back. 2. VIGAN (Ilocos Sur) 3. CEBU |

If you're after the beach, Caramoan Island in Camarines Sur is awesome. It's not as crowded as Boracay and you can go island hopping. Although going there is a little tiresome, it's worth it.
Palawan is nice too. But if you're the partying type, Boracay will be just right for you. If you're into adventure, Camiguin Island is an all-in-one trip. There's black sand and white sand beach, a volcano, hot and cold springs, waterfall, etc. You can also try canopy walk and river rafting in Cagayan de Oro City which is like an hour or two away from Camiguin Island. Food... you have to try "danggit" or "dangit" - that's dried fish. If you're brave enough, you can also try "isaw". Of course there's the famous "adobo" and "bicol express". :-) |

btw, if anyone is going to Bora by plane...i think you should take SEAIR...because Cebu Pacific, PALExpress and Zest Air's operations had moved to Kalibo [due to an accident from Zest involving the runway]...and will take the passengers there by bus and boat...just an info
