What Changes Has Your Family Made On Your Budget Because Of The Gas Prices?

First off let me say this. i don't think this thread should be in the car section since its dealing with your family, life style, and money.

Not many changes happened to my family's budget. instead of buying named brand foods we have to start looking for generic foods and start mapping out close places for our family to drive to. with clothes we still haven't made changes in that. my cities gas price is like around $4.00-$4.25 per gallon. maybe when it reaches $4.75 my family will make drastic changes.

No effin way. You're back!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, eh nothing has really changed for us budget wise. But my trips to the museum have been put to a halt.
My bro uses the gas prices as an exuse to not come home. LOL Lucky.

Are you back because Chinky Sonny has been making a lot of threads and has perhaps beat your record?

Keep on topic guys. I'm sure everyone is so happy that he's returned to fill the forums with more threads =P

My mutti hasn't really made any changes. She just complains more now about how much money she needs to spend on petrol (gas) haha

From what I've seen from my parents, not much has changed at all. Everything still seems normal at least. Although my dad no longer picks me up from school that much (although on really rainy days he still does) and my parents complain even more about the gas prices. =| The gas prices at the moment where I live are like $1.30 I think. It seems like it's getting higher everyday though. =_= Oh, and now sometimes my dad drives my mom to and from work. Although rarely. >.>

My family really hasn't made very many changes at all. For the most part, my parents just complain about gas prices a little more than they used to.

We did, however, buy month-long subway passes so my father can take the Subway to work and so me and my younger brothers can take the Subway to our friends houses and the mall. This has actually been pretty effective. A few months ago, our gas bill was over $450 but it's dropped to about $390 a month.

We haven't, to be honest, I hadn't even realised the petrol prices has risen that much, but I think it's about £1.10 ($2.20) a litre atm.

we try not too drive to much or use the cars when we dont have too.....lol we tend not to go too far too...lol

after i get my license, i doubt i'll be drivin much. i need to start cycling more often!
less demand will help lower the price of petrol so dnt buy any!!!!!!!!!

oh man...i remember when gas prices were 79 Cents a gallon in Houston...geez.

we cut back on trips to the grocery stores by buying more each time.

shopping wise.....we havent really changed.

my dad is thinking about selling his truck and buying a smaller car....

i think my mom should sell her q45 and buy a corolla.

i'm bumming more rides off my friends instead of driving...

I ride my bike everywhere! That and I haven't taken my permit test yet. My parents started carpooling to make up for the cash, which isn't all bad. ^^
