I get this a lot from the girls I like that don't like me usually. I wanted to share so everyone can possibly give some insight to the situation.

With the worlds growth so grows the lack of morales and values in a family. People are so strung up on the latest fads that we forget our defining characteristics, and we act like others do. Are we reverting back to our childish years. In psychology we are taught that children grow through the means of imitating those around us, but are we insecure with ourselves that we have reverted back to a child like mind. Guys in particular is the subject here, the only place your can find a half decent guy I have learned is at church generally, and even there they are sometimes in sheeps wool. So where have all the good men gone? Like chivalry, it has been cast out, our nation as a whole wants the bad boys, the rebels the popular ones in charge, "our elites", of their lives.

I believe that our church's representatives are diminishing in character. I believe 9/10 guys are jerks and I believe the girls have lost hope in finding that "white knight" or they have changed their minds and wish for something else. I speak not on behalf of the gentlemen of the world or the real christians, merely myself, but as it seems at least in southern california the good guy has finished last and died, as well as the good girls. And if not they have been claimed by the "elites".

Our country as does our world lacks morales and values, as well as throwing our old traditions such as respect out the window.

I speak not out of hurt, but disgust for at least my species. And I thought it could spark some conversation on our world's lack of morales as we roll into the "last days"

Your thoughts?

I go with the adults when I say 'Blame tv/radio/mtv/school

It seems the more someone watch 'Lugana Beach' the less vaules they have. Cool to the past where things began to go bad. Grease and Dirty Dancing where the most popular movies. Who gets the girl in those movies? The 'bad boy' (I'm not dissing the movies either I love Grease and D.D.) But in a physocial study it shows that eviroment has more affect then gentics. Most people are very impressable.
Sorry don't mind my ramblings. I debated this subject for a long time now. The world has a HUGE affect on people espeically teens and msot people between 13-25 have parents that grew up in the age where chruch suddenly didn't become mandortry so they pass that on to their children. In fact on my bus there was 20 -30 kids and to my knowledge there were 4 of us (including me/ all girls) who went to chruch and believed in god. and we got made fun of.
God isn't dead but chivarly sure seems to be. (my opinion) Our world is changing and probably not in our favor. (though during depressions chruch numbers tend to go up.)

Haha, it gives a new meaning to live above the influence. Shoot if I ended up acting like people my age or younger do, my grandpa would roll over in his grave, dig himself out, walk through 6-feet of snow (im sure you have heard the story of the journey grandparents made to school) and come and kick the living daylights out of me. I was my grandpa's son, if that makes any sense, but ya you spare the rod you spare the child.

on a side note, the people that go when times of rough to church, are not truly saved I do not think, but thats not neccesarily along the same lines, although i could stress it is.

Yeah, but you know what they say pain is god's megaphone.
But anyways, I know whta you mean. My grandparents basical raised me too. Some of the nicest guys I met where raised by their grandparents. Let's face it half of marriages end in divorce maybe not having a decent male role model around could cause so many guys to act so poor.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, christians are a dying breed.(in America) I want to know why so many of my kind (girls) flock to these idiot/bad boy/ better thou you/ druggies. Myabe they're trying to 'change' them. It's easier for them todrag you down then for you to pick them up. w/e Sorry I'm rambling.
Have you talked to any of these 'bad' boys to see why they talk like their do? You can't really judge until you know and not even then you can't, espeically if you don't know what they're going though.

Hahaha, I hear ya on the wierd-good guys, I am one of them. and to quote Rose "I want to know why so many of my kind (girls) flock to these idiot/bad boy/ better thou you/ druggies" I would love to know the answer to this myself hahaha!. but alas I can vouch for why and the cause of my genders downfall. I have known enough worldly people that I can speak for them, and think like they do, however when I try to my concience kicks in and I usually break into laughter mid sentence. Yo homey yo, like da popo, aight, they gots da riggity weck thems before I does ya no whats i say.

translated- How are you? the police, they must check themselves before they roll up to me, and I put them in their place.

Now theres also the rocker, but I can't tone that one down, the punks and the rebels cuss to much to the point of where most of it would be * marks.

But I digress, money rules the world, technology and fashion our lives, and thus we created the world as it is today. With more emphasis on celebrity lives, than caring about our own, call it an escape, call it whatever the point of the matter is we look to others and the ones in style the elites to dictate who we are and what we will become. And out of the, shoot who knows how many, heathen male friends I have, less than 10% are decent and of moral character. Judge not lest ye be judged, I simply am stating we are a dying breed, and even though I speak in generalities, I speak with no one in mind, and am not pointing a finger to anyone in particular, just stating a simple fact that "gentleman" are becoming as extinct as the DoDo. Do not point out the splinter in anothers eye without removing the log from your own. I choose my words cautiously as I can.

I agree fully but the next question is :How do we change this? It's obviously too late for our gereation. Maybe we can pull 'being gentleman' and chivalry out of the grave? I know my son (if I ever have one) will be taught better. Rtaman you're son sounds cool, maybe he jsut needs a push in the right direction. At least they are some in your age rank, there's one at my age, most 'good' guys I know at 19, 20 and up.
Well as a girl. I had a good guy and I left him for one well....he wasn't bad but he certainly wasn't good for me. It seems girls have the impression that 'good' guys are boring. Rta's son and you Cry don't seem to be boring. But I;ve know guys where they were as plain as white bread. (and now he's more intresting) There's beside the point. *sigh*

Well me and my son are gentlemen and we are NOT plain as white bread. Of corse I am taken by ONE HEVELY Girl. WHO I was lucky to fool into marring me.... hehehehe. My son is much taller than me and when I introdues him as my son, he has a habit puting his arm on my head and use me as a resting post. But, seriusly GOD has some for almost every one. I say almost because some he wants to remain sinal to do his work. And some because they did not beleiv GOD cared for their happness and let a good one go....Pray is answer and God is answer to that. Seek God's will and all will fall in place. I know because it happen to me. I can look back on my life and see where he has dir. my path in life.

hmmm i have to blame both sexes for this and our society as a whole....the whole "dating just for fun" thing has brought so much harm to people that they no longer have expectations for their future spouses. People will do anything to "get some" lol...sry bout that....and our values for eachother are diminishing....if you ask me there aren't very many "good women" left either...
