It's hard to find good guys these days...the only ones I know are ones from my family, my close friends, and the ones from our church.

I'd rather have those good guys who are left now...Before, I didn't care if the one I had a crush on teases mean things....but now, I don't really like those who pretend they are "cool" by doing mean stuff to others...

Only God's true sons are the good guys left.

can't agree w/ ya more! (no offense to the guys tho) Sure there are still some (many at least) good and Christian guys around. I'm just scared if some are just saying it to make us feel better and accept them. I am sooo praying to God right now that He's reserving this special someone for me. You gals (and guys) should too!!!

Hahaha maybe you're right. Maybe that'll change again someday...But right now I'd rather just stick to my studies. Let Jesus be my only boyfriend now. Still too young anyway Still...boys will be boys. The new age really has come.

2 jlo_mei_en: Of course God has someone in store for you! ^_^ *optimistic about mine*

God has reverse one person for everyone. Of course he cares. Praying only gets you so far. You have to read the bible and take action too. Bring a guy to chruch and how him the light. lol sorry about that one. Maybe letting God take the reins is the best.

Of course God has reserved someone special for each one of us, we just have to wait it out. It's like the last 10 moves in chess when your only left with a king. Don't look for ways out, just sit it out. And all I know is my family will never be apart of this world, i am grounding them right now, pre-birth, from secular values lol. And to respond to Rose, hey I wish a girl brought me to church, shoot, but remember about being unequally yoked.

With that I am going to try for a nap. I didn't get any sleep, "Late at night I toss and turn and dream
of what I need" I need a herooooo...(heroine in my case)

... Letting God take the reins isn't always the best way to do things, He's important sure and cannot be left out of the equation (sp?) If we stand around and wait for God to bring us that "perfect someone" chances are we'll end up living life as a hermit. We need to take chances, make choices and learn from our mistakes. God doesn't was us to use Him as a hidey-hole. He put us on this world for a reason. we arent just a massive ant farm. take some chances guys, pray, but take chances. when we dont take chances or make choices we end up living lives best not lived. we get too comfortable "waiting" and praying when there's so much out there to learn and to. "There are plenty of fish in the sea"... more like "there are billions of fish in the sea" we cant wait for that "perfect one" out of billions. Who knows, she/he might be closer than you think.

I'm going to have to disagree with you RivrStyx, that's exactly what you should do, never rush into anything. Now on your taking chances, ya I am completely in agreement, but you should only risk it/chance it if you do feel for her. I.E. young lass comes in thinks your cute, you ask her out, oh wait she turns out to be a crazy loon and you just wasted 2 years of your life on her. Been there done that, returned the t-shirt. What we should all be doing is waiting. Pray whole-heartedly, Get out into the world of course, but don't jump to any conclusions and if she is the girl of your dreams and she is right in front of you, I think she won't mind waiting with you...."Pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17) The LORD is waiting to be kind to you. He rises to have compassion on you. The LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. (Isaiah 30:18) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

Be not fast to take action. To do so might bring about regret, and if she/he is the guy/girl for you not only will they be waiting for you, they will wait on you.

I also have to disagee. Looking back on my 56 years some of Worse parts of my life is when I took the reins from God. Believe me you do not want to do that. Trust me on this....

Aww thanks guy for backing me up. Maybe you should try to balance of pray and letting God run it and your own actions. Take the first step to forming a relationship and then let God take it farther.

not quite what I meant... I'm saying that we can't sit back and let God do all the work because we wont learn anything. I'm not saying go out and date whoever I see. We always have to be cautious, but I've been sitting back and letting God take the reins, and honestly, 21 years of waiting hasn't paid off at all, I havent dated a single person so I've gotten rather frustrated. I'm saying that God needs to be the driving force in our life but we still need to take chances once in a while and learn things.

Well I mean in my 56 years, when I look back at times I took control (which always ended up in a mess) of my life. I always had to have God fix the mess I got my self into. Now, I almost always ask for diretion/control on almost every thing. It like I am almost always now talking to God in my head. I LOVE BEING A CHILD OF GOD

Haha, I knew what you meant but it would have alot more impact if I exaterated a bit lol. But I am half-heartedly glad, even thou you ruined a part of my argument hahaa, you did explain it to where others might better understand, and possibly created a stronger argument.
