If there is no award or punishment then how is there good or bad? Or really what is to stop you from doing bad when you have no punishment? I;ve heard this before,...I follow my own set of morals which I come up with. I found that msot people who do this are from religious fmaily and rejected their family religion in lew for their own. The morals most people follow are jsut lazy and lackdasial vesion of christian.catholic believes.
To have sex? Are you crazy? FOOL?! With all the STDs out thre? Make Art? Do you even look at art? Some of the greatest were inspired by God or his angels. (Madonna and Child? Last Supper?)
Sorry I didn't mean to go off topic. If I did I'm sorry. Man the mod's here are strict.

haha on a side note thankyou ratman, for the unlocking, lets see, I have a theory that more and more people are influenced by the media, songs, tv, podcasts, whatever. I think we have become a slave to trends and thats why our world is so screwed up.

I fully agree. I think I said something simialr to this eariler in the post.
I think this has becoming for awhile I mean at the past.
In the 50's everything was good. People married, and had kids, the war had just ended, the ecomony was good, and everything was like Leave it to Beaver
In the 60's & 70's tv was in every home and teenaager's began to set their rights and it became 'alright' to have premarriaged sex and no one has corrected the population of that yet.
In the 80's teenage pregnacy went up and people just overlooked it and this was the age of rock and roll and punk rock, even early emo music.
The 90's didn't help. AIDS and STDs were all over the place.
These are just my ideas. I wasn't there so don't quote me. Ratman lived then maybe he can say something about the passage of time and how it has affect your soceity and cause good mortals to detericate.

I think the part of the problem is the media. It continually shows relationships that go past what real relationships should be and it influences generations of people. Ive noticed recently that some movies ratings have been rated than what I think they should be! My super ex-girlfriend was rated 14A O.O My friends and I rented it thinking it be alright I still think it should of been rated 18A!! We turned it off 15 minutes in. I also think the other problem is, and I quote from my favourite book ever (sorry if it gets long),

Why is it woman always want the bad-boys? He was good-looking wasnt he, I bet thats it! Harold stated.
Its not just about looks, Miz June said.
Its not? Peach said.
Its not just about looks, or even mostly. Its not that we want something bad, its just we want something big! Miz June said.
So you find it in some punk? Thats like wanting Mexican food but going to a Chinese restraunt to get it, Harold said.
True, but your missing the point, Peach said.
The pursuit of love gets mixed up with the pursuit of life, Miz June said.
So go climb a mountain! Harold stated.
Oh Harold, my mother said.
Its that easy isnt it? Miz June said. I look at my grandchildren and I still see it. The boys are expected to do. Accomplish something, Seek adventure. Sure, they study for careers now, but what are girls expected to seek? Boys. Boys get mountains, girls get boys.
Shes right you know, Peach says.
Girls can climb mountains if we want! I said. We know that. I dont really like this idea.
Like it or not, it happans all the time, Miz June states. A mans identity is complete through action, a womans, when she has a man. Through him. We fall off our high heels into the narrow crevasse of what it means to be female. Let me tell you. You fall in love and think youre finding yourself. But too often youre looking inside of him for you, and thats a fact. Theres only one place you can find yourself and thats you.
I thought feminism cured this, my mother said.

Anyways sorry for this being long! My point is its the thrill. Every girl ends up liking the bad guy at least once, The strangeness of being captivated by the dangerous but intrigue adventure its a weird pheneoum lots of women experience whenever they get sucked into the bad-boys hands. But this I guess isnt true for all women (as my friend continously points out). Bad boys catch our curiousity and we start a seemingly never ending pursuit in them. Its a horrible heart breaking confusing journey! I just learned recently. My friend also is still going through hers which makes me sad to have to watch.

But thats why we need God and great friends who can hold you tightly when your not ready to face reality.

what book is that from? I want to read it.

Yes media is to blame but so are parents? Why don't daddies ever tell their little girls story of carrer woman? Or of Venus & Serena Williams why it always cinderella and fairy tales. Maybe parents need to set 'us' straight that this is life and this what you need to do. Top of the list should be save sex for marriage.

I agree 200 thousand percent, except, perhaps instead of buying our future children the latest issue of teen weekly, maybe we should read more stories to them. I grew up on fables, short stories, and children's books, and contrary to popular belief, children should not be taught about sex untill their teens, or at least that is my belief. I read a recent study, people were subjecting their kids to information about sex as early as 8-10 years old. I don't know about everyone else, but when I was 10 i was thinking about G.I. Joes, X-men, and Super Nintendo. also i believe we should control who our kids listen to or hang around with, some call it censoring, some call it control, i call it dang good parenting. My son/daughter will not be subjected to anything I deem inappropriate, and thus I believe the future legacy of my lineage will not be tainted by the corruption of the world.

I think kids need some freedom. My auntie controlled everything about my cousins life and it just drove her into wanting to do the exact opposite. My aunt said never see those people again and she just snuck out to meet up with them.

Anyways, that quote bloodyroses is from Honey, Baby, Sweetheart. Its about a girl who gets mixed up with a bad boy and how affected her life. Her mom trys to distract her and she ends up becoming a reoccuring member of the Cassarole Queens. Its very humourous. I suggest this book highly. ^____^

I would have to disagree, to a certain extent, I understand not telling someone can lead them to do the opposite, however it is not always the case, monitoring and censorship are key for sure, but leaving kids to run wild is insane, I am going to have to go with Proverbs on this topic, the bible supports me who can be against me? lol
I don't think it was a controlled experiment with your auntie. I think, the outcome will be different with my children, I am sure of it. There are numerous things to consider in this consideration, influence, upbringing, neighborhood even.

Proverbs 13-24 Whoever spares the rod hates his son,
but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. (ESV)

In the 50's everything was good. NOT!!!!!!!! Blacks were treated as 2nd class. That A Bomb was very much on our mind.

In the 60's & 70's tv was in every home and teenaager's began to set their rights and it became 'alright' to have premarriaged sex and no one has corrected the population of that yet. like totaly true man. It was far out (as in getting far a way from church and Christ as you could get). This was also the time that the man made doc. that God was dead started being preached.

In the 80's teenage pregnacy went up and people just overlooked it and this was the age of rock and roll and punk rock, even early emo music. Well teenage pregnacy was just continuation of the 60's free love. Oh and dont get me started on punk rock. And even tho it started in the 70's the mind set was whats in it for me or the me genaration.

The 90's didn't help. AIDS and STDs were all over the place. AIDS was a new STDs but the STDs spread was just again a result of the 60's free love Oh and we still it seems mostly think of whats in it for me

Oh and what does detericate mean???

Hmm too true, I will try to find some thing like a story of carrer woman. And my older girl, while never told her that kind of story. I did tell her that she was not limited in her chosi.
