OOH,I tried the IRCs,they were even worse. Not as bad as learning how to use them mind you.

organization is a big issue, but I feel that compentency is a bigger one. Try the IRC channel.

Yeah, it definitely is. I just assumed that when we were talking about qualities of a moderator that they were competent.

Indeed competency is important but most people here would be considered competent to a degree

I agree but disagree. Everyones competent to a degree, but the reason I stopped posting on the forums is because there are a lot of... for lack of a better word, moronic people on the forums. ^_^

It seems to me that people develope a God-complex online. They always have to be right or else the world will explode or something... My guess would its because they can hide behind the screen. People don't talk back and bash other people in real life (at least not around here, and I live in Chicago) as they do online... Just my observation though.

That observation proves correct where I live, too. There are virtually no reprecussions for insulting someone in the comfort of one's own home, knowing that they'll more than likely never meet the person the insults are directed at.

AND HOLY CRAP, I GOT SLAP(d)!! The Ninja are after me again...

I insult people and disagree people offline and debate people and dont hide behind a screen but I also dont hold grudges and never let things go plus I insult humorously like a joke not because I mean it. Few people are brave outside a comp screen except where I live but in my old homes they were coward. Where I live is insane and doesnt count

Around here its not really fear that makes people hold thier tongue, its respect. Hell, I don't know anyone here who fears what would come at them after an insult. But yeah, we all do it in the joking way. The other day I was talking to my friend and I said "That was the worst thing I've ever heard, and I've heard you." He just laughed his ass off and said "Thats awesome, I'm sooo using that." So I understand the joking thing, but yeah... I don't remember where I was going.
