mine started at third grade

you can't reverse it but it can help by eating lots of carrots and relaxing your eyes xD

if you don't like glasses wear contacts like me, altho its so hard trying to put them on for the first time, you automatically blink when it is near your eyes lol

O0oh like astigmatism right? Lasic surgery can help or any other refractive surgery that will reshape the cornea. *squirms*

I have myopia, in my case it's because my dad has it --- and his family lol. My brothers too have myopia. I remember it started in grade 3, but I was so thrilled to get glasses. Now I'm like wtf. I wear contacts and glasses. Mine isnt so bad I mean I am fine without glasses.

I need my glasses when I look on mid-long range. My eyes were bad to begin with and my computer just made it worse. Now I can hardly recognize a face from a long distance and I also can't read subtitles when viewing it from the tv. The second time I had my eye checked, my vision turned out 125-125. At least I got cured of my Astigmatism which made my vision a 175-115(First time I had my eye checked). Waiting for an anti-glare screen filter(My monitor) and a new pair of lens(third lens for my glasses.) All of this started in High school.

to fix near sightedness you can (in some cases) get laser surgery. However, there have been some recent studies saying that there are problems with the procedure.

I just wear my contacts 24/7

(dont' tell mauzzie)

You CAN do eye exercises to help improve your vision to at least a certain degree. A basic one is drawing a dot on your window with a marker and focusing your eyes on it, then on a distant object, and back again for several minutes a day.
Here is an example: http://www.eye-exercises-for-good-vision.com/eye-exercises-for-myopia.html

Reducing exposure to radiation such as TV and computer helps prevent deterioration.

Also living in a city is not good for eyesight. When your eyes have distant objects to focus on, you naturally receive more exercise than if you are crammed in by walls, so if it is very important to you, spending time in the open is a good method. Laser surgery is only recommended if you are old enough, and is rather nasty: possibility of failure + the "seams" may come apart on your eyes if you overstrain yourself.

Mine started in elementary I think. Hate being a frigging cripple, it's digusting Used to refuse to put on my glasses, now I can't even read the street names without them. Bleh.

All started in 2nd grade when the school forced me to purchase corrective lenses. As expected, my eyesight has worsened since then, however for some reason it has stopped regression for the past two visits to the ophthalmologist, which is quite funny because I'm on the computer a lot catching up on shows

Contacts 24/7?? I hope you don't mean when you sleep. When you sleep, your eyes move around super quickly and it can cut up your eye if you sleep with contacts in. I've done it on accident a few times. They get so dry in the morning.
I started needing glasses in maybe 3rd or 4rd grade. I refused to wear them though, and squinted a lot, and my eyesight got a lot worse. I wear contacts now though, so it isn't going up as fast.

It all began in the sixth grade... Or at least that was when I finally realized that I really was blind (because I always thought that my sight was the regular 20/20 vision thing). Turns out, I was way wrong. I couldn't see other things that my peers did - so then I got glasses. Now I'm wearing contacts - took me 2 seconds to put them on when I first got them. They lady that was watching me was really surprised. Anyway, I probably got my blindness from my dad and my older sister. It's all genetics.... LOL.

It's all good though. Glasses make me look good.
