i just returned from the doctor's. my eye power is -4 and -7 now.

yea Ive got myopia since I was 11 and started wearing contacts when I was 13. I can't see a thing without glasses/contacts, and my eyes hurt terribly when I'm out in the sun.
As for reversing myopia, there's a 15 minute surgery called LASIK but I don't recommend it at all, it's gone all over the media that LASIK may dry and damage your eyes and even make you blind, and I actually know people who've done it and nearly got blind as well.
Well, scientifically they say it's caused by recessive genes, isn't it? Nobody in my family is short sighted though...only an aunt.

Short-sightedness runs in the family so I wear glasses for reading, driving, watching tv, working on the computer...

Which reminds me, I've got an opticians appointment this week.

umm it happened sometime in 3rd grade.........i can barely see my own hand in front of my face but contacts supposedly slow it down.....

MY eye sight started to get worse when I was 10... and I think the only way to fix it is either laser eye surgery, but one of my friend, he became long-sighted, so i kinda reversed the effect, so now he can see better than before

Two years ago I had perfect vision, then all the suddenly I couldn't see farther than 3 feet. And I had thought that it was just an aura before my migraines at the time. I use glasses since my parents don't have the money for contacts. Can't wait to one day get them though, so annoying to have to use glasses whenever I want to see farther than 3 feet. But it's better than walking around unable to identify things that's for sure.
