It would have to be plot organization. . .

If the story continues to make sense,
If the story is clever,
then it would generally be a good anime.

Of course there's probably a few other reasons, such as animation and character development.

Oh, also, for a English dubbed anime (I'm thinking of Hiyao Miuzaki ..-spelling?- disney films) the voice acting can really make-or-break it.
Disney generally gets big-name hollywood stars when they need to, and sometimes they're actually talented!

A plot that would keep people interested in the anime, as well as good voice actors and actresses. Art would be a plus as well.

For me the most important thing is seeing interesting characters and watching how they interact and relate to each other.

My first thought was "it has to have a good storyline", but I changed my mind when I remembered how much I enjoy Lucky Star which doesn't really have much of a plot. Well thought out characters with realistic and/or complex relationships are great to watch and can make even a clichéd story interesting.

I think characters are the most important, coz you'll be facing them throughout the story.
so if the characters are interesting, sometimes, it can make up for the less interesting plot.
than plot is also important, and the graphics too.
hehe, what they are wearing is important too, don't want some extreme weird clothings or lame ones lol

Story/Plot BECAUSE I can't watch anime with a ridiculous storyline. A lot of animes tend to be very interesting at first, but then starts to decline. Lots of potential. It has to be good or else I can't watch it...probably fall asleep.

Story. Unless it's a comedy series, without a good story the anime is going nowhere.

Story and Character.
An Epic story is great, but there has to be interesting characters who goes with it.
A great example in Code Geass and Black Lagoon

Well, first would be the plot, than the characters themselves (I believe you have to have at least ONE irrational idiot on the show, bonus if it's the main character...especially if it's shonen). Not to mention good voice acting, and interesting looks (clothe, hair, facial expressions, etc) as long as it's not too "flashy" if you know what I mean.
Also, if possible, humor; It's just not right if you have an anime that is 100% doom and gloom, that just won't do. Furthermore, what I call "well-balanced genres". If an anime's genres were to say harem, humor, slice of life and fantasy, then the need to make sure there is not too much of one thing.
Next is the fillers. I'll tell you now: THERE IS ALMOST ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. Seriously, they can come out really good, especially if they are mixed in with the plot somehow and not just thrown in there. Last but not least, the MUSIC (Openings, endings, BGM, etc). It's hard to find real good music that we love, so you got to have anime to rely on when it comes to that.

AN ANIME THAT YOU CAN WATCH THE WHOLE 30 MINUTES (INCLUDING COMMERCIALS) AND ENJOY IT IS WHAT WANT YOU WOUDL WANT. (well, that is in my picky opinion )

P.S - What is Seiyuu?

I probably need a good plot or I won't give it a second look, but if the animation's cool, I'll try it out..

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know what you guys think is the most important factor for a good anime.

Is it something like a good storyline?
Or maybe it's the clothes that the characters are wearing?

For me, it would have to be the attitudes of the characters around the main character.

You have the main, protaganist, or occasional antagonist character, and to me, if they are surrounded by people who are just annoying, I can't get into the story. It could have a terrific storyline, but if the characters around the main are annoying, dumb, or anything along those lines, I just can't watch it.

What do you guys think is necessary to a good anime?

as long as the story is at its best on every episode or movie. ill give it a 2 thumbs up.
