i've heard this one too...
from my mom who kept on blahbing about it ever since i got my mp3...
Actually she had been telling me this years ago when i was still using my disc man..
whew! but i never took her statement seriously... even up until now I barely care about it..
I am not that careless to actually turn the volume to its maximum level... (though sometimes it is indeed too loud)
and besides, i don't feel any sign suggestive of deafness.

I've already heard this news, and it's so obvious that your hearing power will decrease if you're always listening to mp3s using earphone and with a full blast power.. ^^

Hehe I've heard about this news too...I guess it isn't a problem for me because I don't use earphones that much. And if I do use them, the volume is always the lowest: 1! But my friends may risk hearing problem later because the volume is really too much. Can you imagine, you can hear whar they are listening to when you just sit next to them...it's crazy xDDD

Damn.
But I hate putting my music at full blast, I keep it at a volume where I can still recognise what's going on around me, and that's not very loud.
