Boyz II Men for best R&B group
Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston are tied for best Female R&B artist.
Brian Mcknight for best active Male R&B artist

Stevie Wonder because he deserves to be on the list but hes not exactly active and I wouldn't put him in the league of BEST OF ALL TIME because that is reserved for:

Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross tied for BEST SINGERS OF ALL TIME

Ay ya'll think this a fake Chris Brown right? http://www.crunchyroll.com/user/chris_brown

The best R&B singer in my opinion is Chrisette Michele. Well, she's probably more of a soul singer but I think she falls under R&B too Along with Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Beyonce Knowles, Aaliyah and Brandy Norwood.

Sorry they're all American, I don't know a lot of other R&B singers from other countries

Umm...Here’s my list for now .

Male Solo Artist:

Luther Vandross

Miss him so much. Music is not quite the same though KEM may take over where he left off. However, there’s only one person who sung like Luther and that’s Luther himself.

Donnell Jones

Oh Donnell Jones, you are underappreciated indeed! I miss him from the 90’s. Then again I miss Case and Carl Thomas too. I don’t like how the record labels are marketing them now. Sure they’ve gotten older but they’re still singing something . I wonder why they don’t do Jaheim like that...

SE7EN

SE7EN’s dance moves are crazy and I like his singing but, there’s room for improvement and it shows with every album.

Rain

Same here with Rain, except on a sliding scale. One song is good, the other is ok. The next one I don’t even want to here! He improves, but doesn’t have as much strive.

Bobby Kim

Can’t complain. He’s sings, produces, the lists goes on. Every song connects. This is SO short, but I know that he knows that he’s good at what he does.

Male Group: Boyz II Men

Here is where boy bands should aim at. Boys II Men have harmony, like those corny but good quartets’ with those red and white outfits singing at those out door events in those gated communities. No matter where they at on a song, they know how to sing it, the note, etc. It would be SO nice if artists today whether as a group or as a solo artists, KNOW HOW TO HAMONIZE, or better yet, play, read music, know business and a good lawyer.

Brown Eyed Soul

Thank you NA UL for splitting with Yoon Gun. They were okay as the Duo Brown Eyes but they do SO MUCH BETTER by themselves. NA UL formed the group Brown Eyed Soul and have hooked me every since. They remind me of Boyz II Men. The harmonizing is all over the place and their beats, classic, especially #8 Candy (the beat from “What I won’t do for love.”) funny and crazy!

The Gospellers

For over ten years , The Gospellers have awed people with their sound and harmony. They’re like Boyz II Men on the other side of the globe. Their a capella (can’t spell again!) was the first and only a capella to go number one in Japan! Even after ten+ years, they haven’t lost their touch.

Female Solo Artist:

Amel Larrieux

Amel is too underrated . I don’t know why Sony dropped her but it’s made her music all the better on her own record label. Y’all out to know, the singer, one half of the duo group Groove Theory…the song “Tell Me.” This is that chick. She can blow on her own accord and can whistle like Minnie Rippleton.

Whitney Houston

When I was a kid , she was my favorite singer. Awe…at least until Brandy came for a short time. When she’s NOT having trouble in her personal life, Whitney can blow. She needs to focus on music more. When a person has talent like that, it’s hard to replace and duplicate. It’s good that she’s doing better than ever!

Hyori

This cute little singer is the #1…highest selling female artist (I think) in Korea and her beats are infectious! She was good in Fin.K.L. (Fine Killing Liberty-don’t ask me how they came up with the title because I truly don’t know), but I never knew she would be a good solo. I don’t understand why the public and other people gave her crap about her song, “Get Ya.” I don’t care if it was stolen, taken, whatever you call it from Britney Spears’ song, “Do Somethin’,” it sounds a hell of a lot better than what Britney did with it!

Namie Amuro

Namie Amuro is one of the highest selling artists in Japan and this latest album is GREAT!!! Then again, these next three singles from her working with Vavoon Salon are better. Reminiscing of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s done the right way, sampling The Supreme’s “Baby Love”, Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady” and “What A Feeling” from the movie 'Flashdance' is a good way to advertise the hair company and herself. Not bad for an artist.

Female Group: TLC

R.I.P Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez. Every album was good…well 3D could have been better if Left Eye didn’t die. I miss TLC!

En Vogue

En Vogue was SO GOOD!!! If they could have stayed together…at least Dawn, then all of them could have had success being together and doing their own solo projects. No female group has replaced then since and it’s a shame!

SWV

Like En Vogue, SWV has talented and ALL OF THEM had strong voices so if they each went solo, nobody would be disappointed. It’s really too bad they didn’t stay together! “Love will be right here!”

Big Mama

The group with the soulful voices from Korea, Big Mama proves that you don’t need to be skinny to have a voice or be successful!

Group/Duo: Marvin Gaye & Diana Ross

Do any of you guys know about this album? It was a good collaboration! I loved it at age 2 and still, I go back home and listen to it. The song, “Love Twins” on this album is my favorite. Picking up the 12 inch vinyl record and listening away, feeling a sign of relief...
