I'd choose Tupac, to me, he was like one of the originals. I actually really liked and appreciated his songs, such as "Changes". But one thing that I'm concered about is that, I think Rap is dying (or dead), it's almost become of what Hip Hop is, dead. These days, it seems as though not many people listen to Rap or Hip Hop anymore. I think it's kinda hard to find good Rap & Hip Hop songs to listen to. Most songs in these genres are like about sex, money, girls, expensive things, champaign, or dissin some other person. Unlike some of these rappers in recent years; atleast Tupac gave it his all.

yeah... i'd say there are better rappers than 2pac or biggie... but the list you mentioned is just absurd.

Personally, I'd take Mos Def over either 2pac or biggie, but my taste in rap doesn't really count.

That list is not all that absurd, but I did forget to mention Eminem...Will Smith is up there due to the fact that he actually has talent (seems to be a rare thing in music these days, especially rap)...

No, your original list was absurd. That list was just a random sampling of stereotypical rap crap marketed towards white suburban kids. If that is your idea of talent in rap, I'd recommend turning off your radio, quit watching TRL, and check out some underground rap. Hell not even underground, just anything outside the mass market. Popularity does not equal talent. You may enjoy those rappers, and there is nothing wrong with that, but don't think that makes them magically talented.

I don't think Will Smith raps anymore, he seems to do a better job acting.
I like rap and hip-hop for the beats they make and I really like it when some rappers use game music in their songs, as well as other theme songs like batman. I think that's pretty creative.

I'd go with Tupac I suppose if I had to choose either him or Biggie.
I don't usually keep up with how hip-hop and such is doing now-a-days. I just found out today that theirs a rapper named Rich Boy he made Throw some Ds, if anyone knows that song. The music I get are from rappers that aren't really known by alot of people.
