^ When you say 'support' do you actually buy NEWS, Kitty GYM, YamaPi's singles/albums? Or do you just download them? Atleat I purchased the Daite Senorita single and I buy monthly magazines issues.

RIght now, he's 201 vote away from Jin.
Even though I like Pi, I'm voting for Tegoshi (since theres no Shige button). What can I say? I like Tegoshi (and Shige) way better than Pi.

Lunch no Ojoou..he plays a cocky high school student (I love him there), Kurosagi, Sore wa totuzen arashi no you ni (He's good here, but his co-stars are really unconvincing plus it's a little boring), Stand Up!, and Ikebukuro West Gate Park..that's all I've watched so far...Kurosagi's the best out of them..but they took it down =(

Oh by the way that 201th Jin voter was me..guilty... I love Pi but Jin reserves first place.

sorry mauz15... i won't do that again~~

i think it is good... pi's acting is even a bit better there.... but of course, it might/would depend on different people.... i've heard equally good reviews from others who've watched it... ^^ I hope you'll like it!

I love Hoshi wo Mezashite. Can't wait to watch the PV (cause' Shige looked fricken' good in the PV preview)
I'm going to order the regular and limited edition of Hoshi wo Meashite on cdjapan, once the limited edition is in stock again, and if I'm lucky I might get the NEWS calender. The limited edition has the Sayaendou, Hadashi no Cinderalla Boy, and Yume no Kazu Dake Ai ga Umameru on the DVD (I want to see the Hashi no Cinderalla Boy live)

i'd be more than happy to~~
so you want a summary of the story? tell me if you meant otherwise... I'll focus on the story of the past (spoilers below) -- i also organized some main things worth watching after the summary...

=====================================
Mineji (Pi) has reached the age to go to this school where they're taught the meanings of being a samurai and get trained. Since it's war time... most families teach their children to be brave and that when the time comes, they should put their lives to good use -- mainly to protect their country and people. In doing so, there's a high probability that they'd sacrifice themselves. So, Mineji's mom has always treated him coldly.. so he wouldn't have as much emotional attachment when such harsh times come. But of course, she loves him more than anything.

War was getting difficult... eventually those 16/17 yr old boys (named collectively Byakkotai) were sent to the battle field. Then, Mineji and Byakkotai, those innocent boys, face the harshness of war. Certainly watch the drama for details.
=============================================

I find what's very worth watching are the following:
* Pi's path of learning (he being such a good son and boy... starting to learn more and more about life, friends, family, etc.)
* Mineji & his mom's interactions (this is one of the most amazing things about this drama)
* the cute/funny experiences Mineji shares with his friends

Points some may not like:
* scenes where Pi wasn't involved in (hehe... 'cause sometimes other characters talk too much about the war, strategies, etc. :P)
* the fact that they seem to be too willing to sacrifice themselves...
...

hope this is helpful~~~ Byakkotai is very touching
