For some reason, if siblings have an issue, I get touched. Such as the emotional conflict between Sango and Kohaku .. and... Mai and Takumi.

But the grave of fireflies almost killed me ... that was utterly depressing.

In Elfen Lied when Nana's 'Papa' leaves her behind with his psychotic daughter in his arms.

..Oh yeah, and that bit where the puppy is bludgeoned to death. I'm not an obsessive PETA person, but it just made me sick to my stomach. ..Funny, considering nothing else in that series did. Is it screwed up if I care more about them killing the dog than all the humans?

During parts where a family is devastated (such as the part in Fushigi Yugi when Tamahome walks into his house to see his family was murdered) actually a lot of parts in Fushigi Yugi made me teary eyed... lol

@charlatan: I felt the same way though. Theres a huge difference. First off, humans can defend themselves, and their deaths are a lot more common. Hell, watch the news for 10 minutes and you'll hear about deaths, but I can almost guarntee you wont go crying over it. However, if you learned 500 puppies got obliterated by a crazed psychological killer, you'd feel sad because A. Its not as common, so it hits you harder. B. Puppies are cute ^_^ C. Even if you don't know it, you'll subconsciously relate the death of those animals to the death of someone you know and submerged pain will resurface, only in a different form.

However this isn't true for everyone. Some people couldn't care less if 500 puppies died.

The news makes me sick to my stomach--but I guess that's because all we're given is cold, hard facts. I refuse to become desensitized to reality--I'm certainly not apathetic.

However, when it comes to anime, and fiction... I guess I can see things from every angle since you're given a //story// to follow. And I kinda lied--I was quite depressed at the end of the season of Elfen Lied. (Won't elaborate for spoiler reasons.)

I never cried at anime and hopefully I keep it up but I almost cried watching GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka).

I felt my eyes watery during the series as well.

I sure hope that all of you guys are joking about crying during anime. It would take some really, really feminine (or young) personality to cry to cartoons. I mean getting moved by the scenes is reasonable of course, but to full out cry?

I don't //sob//. I tear.

And it doesn't make you immature to cry. It means you still have the ability to //feel.//

Crying for attention and crying when you're alone are two different things.

I myself identify and get into whatever I'm reading, watching, or writing--I can empathize. Unlike most people nowadays, my life isn't ruled by apathy.

We have a term for this. It's called an EMO.
Prefix of emotional and also the name of the seseme street guy.
